8 reviewsWent to Konitsa in November 2019, and stayed at the Filxenia Hotel. The Hotel is located inside the Town, on the South side, because the Town is not exactly flat. It's at the Base of a series of beautiful mountains, and it's at a slant. It's an upward walk, or drive to the center of the Town. I recommend you go there with a car, cause you cannot walk to the center especially in the summer of 70-90degree weather. Konitsa is a quiet, town to relax, and enjoy Greece's rural towns with all it's historic sights, and as always, the Greek Hospitality. There are Cafes, Taverns, etc. that will please every visitor. The Hotel was nice and clean. Since family owned, the owner, who was very friendly, made feel very much at home. With breakfast, at 40-50Euros a day, you can't go wrong. The whole area, which has a dozen villages nearby, is well worth the trip. Lots of historic sights, beautiful scenery, and beautiful people. By car is the best choice. All in all, Konitsa and the rest of the area, is a unique place to visit, we saw the whole area, within a week, spending the night at Filoxenia, of course. Enjoy!!!
