Guesthouse Kastro

Me and my girlfriend booked at Guesthouse Kastro for one night. 
We got a massive room with jacuzzi, a big balcony with a view and a warm welcome.
We had the best dinner of our vacation at the tavern, and the manager even insisted we pay for it only tomorrow morning when we check out. Breakfast was also great and costed only 5 euros. I recommend this Guesthouse warmly to anyone who is on his way to Edessa or to Thessaloniki and wishes to have a calm village experience in Northern Greece.

Just a short drive from Edessa this lovely hotel was perfect. It has a great view lying on top of a small village and you really do feel like you are in the countryside. We used it as a base to visit Edessa which has lovely waterfalls but we were glad not to be confined to its concrete greyness. But it’s also handy for other places like Pella and the spa of Pozar.
As an added bonus the hotel has a really good taverna cum breakfast room. The food is really good. Not the largest of me us but high In quality and if you walk up the hill 100m you can see the hens that lay your super fresh breakfast eggs.
Topped with really friendly service this is a small unpretentious jewel.

We visited only the taverna/restaurant recently with a group of almost 20 people. Really good service and very tasty dishes. I strongly suggest a visit in case you are in the area. We tried roasted post and pork legs (kotsi). Both were fantastic. The view is also really nice. Although we didn't stay the rooms of the guest house are nice. The area is very close to the town of Edessa (only 5 km or 10min) and only 30 minutes from kaimaktsalan.

This is an incredible bed and breakfast. Each of the rooms are gorgeous and has a darling porch. The view is the best part, however. The sunsets were unreal. The service was also wonderful. They were so sweet and helpful and made us a delicious breakfast. We wish we had more nights here. Well worth a little bit of a drive. 

We stayed only for one night but it was great! The room we had was clean and beautifully furnished with a fireplace (although we didn't need it since it was spring) a very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the owners are very helpful and friendly. 
The location is suberb, you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere even though it is only 6km from Edessa. There is absolutely nothing to do in the village itself so bring your own entertainment or snacks (because there is also no supermarket). The views and the surroundings are amazing! 
If I ever plan to take a 3 month sabbatical to write a book or something, I might do it here :)

Well, advertisment says ' balconi, nice view to mountain' . No all rooms like this. Some are facing its parking and obviously not so nice.
'Fire place inside the room' yes, it is, but probably need to ask wood and  to fire on,nobody explain to me and I was a bit tired to get ready.
'Nice bed' yes, it is, but I had to make the bed by myself. 
'Quite place' It is, but if you go and there is a party dinner you will see what happen.
