Hotel Hellas

We stayed here for one night, the room was simple but clean. The owner was very cheerful and took great pride in his garden - which was lovely to sit in over breakfast! The only downfall is our room did not have airconditioning, but for the price I can not grumble. Worth staying, very low price and has its own unique charm.

Cheap and basic, but very friendly

We came to the hotel very tired. Wanted to check in a bit early. Thats not half of the problem. The old guy at the hotel , no offence is too old to manage it on his own .Perhaps due to old age , we were just going to stay for a night he asked 10 times the price even though our check in and out is on the paper. Then we refused , he said he has been here 70 years and no money no holiday , later on he realized we were staying a night only . After an hour this happened. Check in should not be this difficult. For your peace of mind , I suggest you stay somewhere else , For a 2 star hotel , it is not worth the money and but its a cheap stay.

The owner of the hotel was unbelievably rude. In fact he was quite insane! He made a big scene out of nothing! We could not believe it... In the end we decided not to stay at the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel we visited the toilet in the basement. It was filthy and unsafe. The wires were all over the place and dirty linens were lying around. Also the owner had a soiled T-shirt on him and smelled so badly it was truly repulsive.  He was also very noisy and loud. The reception area and the furniture was old, dirty and outdated as well. The check in time was also very late as the room was not cleaned on time.

Appalling customer service skills and unhygienic environment

Room was unclean especially the bathroom. The shower curtain was mouldy. The room clearly hadn't been cleaned for a long time. The shower faced the wall so you could barely feel the water. The toilet was brown at the bottom. The bed linen was stained. The walls in the room were marked. We had to prop the plug up in the socket to be able to charge anything and another socket you could charge something without the plug being fully in (in fact the plug wouldn't go fully into the socket). This is dangerous. The main reception lady didn't really speak English, nor did she acknowledge us when we walked paseed, she was just playing on her phone. so we didn't even bother complaining. We barely saw the owner until we were leaving. The hotel is in a residential area and the noise levels were loud at times.

The only half decent thing about the hotel was good WiFi. Other than that we couldn't wait to leave. I did however ask the owner if he could book me a taxi to get us to the airport and he did and it was early, the cost was €37.00.

Hotel Hellas - It was definitely hell!!

the hotel is very dirty. room smells. They do not refund your money if you want to leave early. Babiç good man, but not enough. a refrigerator bedside and making noise until the morning. do not go. the room had not been cleaned. mosquitoes were terrible. There was no air conditioning.
