The stuff was very kind and always prompt to help out. They were changing bedsheets and towels every 2 days and the room was spotless!!! Good wifi service, very relaxing atmosphere and the beach ( which is very safe for kids) only a 2 minute walk !!! Tip: use the common shower which is located just when you enter the premises its very good for a quick shower after a day in the beach !!!

The rooms were very clean and spaciuos. We had a kitchen, private bathroom and balcony.  Just perfect.

The owners were very kind to us and we felt very welcomed. 

There were restaurants close by as well as a mini market and of course, the beach.

The place is very peaceful and nice. We had daily cleaning service which was very appreciated 🙂. We highly recommend this hotel.

We were welcomed warmly And had a Lovely stay at Strouvalis. 
Our room was equipped with a little kitchenette so we could make breakfast. We were given fresh fruit by our hosts. Our rooms were cleaned daily.
We had a wonderful view over The bay from our balcony.
To get about out of peak season (The bus stops running this far late Aug) you would be better if hiring a car. We were able To explore Naxos Island!! 

Spotlessly clean, super friendly owners, daily cleaning, large rooms wifi adequate, fully equipped kitchen, all you need for a super peaceful holiday on the beach! A quiet beach front property!  Agiassos is the ideal location for isolated and quite holiday on a large sandy beach!!

Strouvalis is the the best kept secret on Naxos, and I almost hate to review it and therefore give it away, but . . . it's too amazing not to.  And it won't be over-ridden with tourists because this kind of place (the town AND the accommodation) aren't for the average tourist.  It's a special place.

Goethe said about Italy that once you've been there, you no longer desire other regions, just as a visitor to heaven would no longer desire the earth.  I'd amend that to say that once you've been to Strouvalis Studios (and Agiassos), you'll no longer desire anywhere else in Greece.  

Where to begin?  As soon as I arrived, I felt at home in a way I haven't anywhere else in Greece.  The beauty, the peace, the smiling older woman who greeted me like a friend, the bread truck which had just rolled in as my taxi left -- it was like a scene from childhood summers at our camp on the lake in New England.  When I asked (through a translator) which direction to the nearest mini-market, I was told that there was nothing for 20 km., and since my taxi had just dropped me and left, and I'm solo with no car (doing 2 months island hopping), this could have been a predicament, but the owner told me to be ready in half an hour and she'd drive me out to get whatever I wanted for the next week's groceries.  (After our excursion, I had to fight to give her €10 for petrol, but she finally relented.)

The studio is beautiful -- light, open, airy, well-furnished, very comfortable, and an immaculate kitchen with everything you need, from a cheese grater to colander, cookware, utensils, etc.  Sitting on my large balcony (with extendable clothesline, which collapses and disappears as needed!), having yoghurt and an iced coffee in the morning, I can look out over the sea and the mountains, and it's so quiet that I hear only the waves, a lone rooster, the tinkle of bells as a herd of goats is taken up the mountain.

The town (Agiassos) is literally where the pavement ends, and that makes the location quiet, serene, peaceful, and perfect.  No shops full of souvenirs, no screaming children, no motorcycles, none of the all-night noise of Naxos Town, but serenity.  The sea is very still, fine sand, no rocks, and maybe 20 people most days spread out along the long wide beach?  People vary from swimsuits to topless to nude, but you're so far from each little cluster of people that you can barely see other people, so it's completely comfortable.  The beach is quiet, calm, and tranquil.

You can spend your days here roaming the mountains and the beach, swimming, reading, watching the horizon for a cloud of dust which indicates a car is coming down the dirt road, or having a relaxing nap.  

I know I'll be back every summer.
