What a wonderful find. We did not have a reservation. We had been in Salzburg all day and were on our way back to Munich. When it was time for dinner we just got off the autobahn and stopped here. The restaurant was outstanding and our server spoke excellent English. We decided to stay the night and our rooms were fabulous. Everything has been recently renovated and the rooms are very spacious and luxurious. The next morning we were able to converse briefly with the owner (my daughter-in-law speaks very basic German). I highly recommend this restaurant and hotel!
