I don't leave many reviews, but the brilliant service at the Nordic Spreewald meant I felt compelled. Lovely family-run hotel with lots of thoughtful touches. Delicious home-cooked breakfast with loads of choice, great quality bikes to hire at a good price and a nice patio area to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day. Not to mention the lovely husband and wife owners that went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It was the last night our trip and it made it very special. We'll definitely stay again if we come back to Lubbenau - the Campbell/Windels x Ps. Although the location is further out of the Spreewald historic centre, don't be put off - you can walk or bike easily and it feels less touristy/more relaxed at the end of the day.
