Happy Hostel Berlin

I was very surprised to read other reviews on here after a brilliant stay at the Happy Hostel (to the point of wondering whether this is actually the same place...!). This was a cheap and cheerful hostel in a brilliant location- just 20 mins walk from the centre, with brilliant public transport connections (S-bahn, U-bahn, buses). There is also a really handy bus connection to Tegel Airport from very nearby. As well as the location, there was little not to like about the rest of the hostel. The rooms struck me as very clean and tidy, and the whole decor about the place was very cheerful and inviting- lots of quirky touches and colours! The fact that there was a bathroom in each room was very handy, and they were always kept clean. The beds were perhaps a little creaky, but very comfortable for the price. The main "perk" was the abundant plug sockets in each room, a lack of which is a common problem with hostels! The wifi also worked brilliantly. The staff were absolutely lovely; so friendly and helpful, and always available when you needed them (even at 6am when i had to check out!). It felt like a very safe and comfortable place to be. I had a wonderful stay here and I'll definitely back! Such good value for money, and I would highly recommend (especially to fellow solo travellers!)
