Beautiful and well maintaibed property in Mestia uphill.Excellent views and panoramas Home
Made breads and tasty breakfast.Free wifi. No ptoblem to leave car on nearby city parking. Comfy beds. Everything is walking distance.Local cinema and restauranta are perfect and just few minutes walk downhill. I definetly recommend thus place for few days while explire Usghuli  and Mestia. Eka is good to arrange trips to Usghuli village. She speaks good English.

When I return to Georgia, I will come first to Svaneti. And of course I will stay at Eka's! I want to go trekking in the mountains with her cousin Muchka as our guide. He was our personable and excellent driver to Ushguli. But his other job is in mountain rescue! So when we looked at the narrow road to Ushguli and the sheer drop down to the river below, we knew we were in capable hands! Another bonus was meeting Eka's father and talking (with sign language) about how he distills cha-cha from fruits in their garden.

I had a great stay at Eka's house. The house is shared with her lovely family, I had a great room with a beautiful view over the valley and enjoyed the generous breakfast every morning. The atmosphere is personal, which I preferred to the more anonymous hostels along the main road.
I absolutely recommend.

Eka and her family were really nice and helpful.
We rented two rooms,cause of the season (august), i think we got the best two rooms. At a good price a hiker's needs are a completely satisfactory place.
The view is indescribable, especially in the morning.

I would recommend those who do not visit Mestiat because of the accommodation, so you will not spend much time here either. But in all respects it is appropriate.

We showed up at Eka's house without notice, her brother showed us the rooms (three times.. so patient) and called Eka for English communication and we were well received. We had a room on the same floor that Eka and her family stayed and we were welcomed into their living room for dinner and breakfast and to just hang out, being in a family environment was really nice. Beds were comfortable, the room a bit cold but well we expected that with the snow still on the ground and with the heater and blankets we were fine. We were lucky to be the only guests, so Eka and her lovely mother and family took really good care of us and made us amazing dinners and breakfast with multiple super delicious home made dishes and were kind enough to include home made wine for such a cheap price altogether (10 lari for a four course dinner with wine.. we were so happy) Eka also helped us with arranging a drive to ushguli with the nicest driver ever (ask for Georgi). The only tiny bit annoying part was the bathroom being outside, but the water pressure and heat was very nice and it was 5 seconds from the room anyway. There's a closed balcony with a couch and a really nice view of the mountains and Ekas niece and nephew were the cutest. It's recommended for a nice yummy stay with a family and a real Georgian hospitality experience. Enjoy, and give my best to Eka! She promised special treatment to whomever we send :)

Comfortable and pampered stay

The main building was full and I got a bed across the street. Must have been from some soviet prison camp. I could only sleep after I put the matrass on the floor.
Food at the guedthouse is better to avoid, the cafe at the plaza serves much bettef food for a decent price.
