We stayed here for the first time, on the recommendation of friends! The hostel is very cozy, there are all the necessary amenities! Very good location! After spending 3 days there, it was a feeling that I came to my family. The home beer was very tasty! I want to say a special thanks to Leo and his son Archila, as well as, a special thank you for the delicious home shinkails that Leo's wife gave us! Wherever I stayed, they were the most soulful and pleasant impression! In general, the vacation turned out to be very good, the next time I come to Georgia, namely to Kazakhstan, I will stay only in this hostel! Thank you very much for everything!

It's a great hostel with very good hosts.

This is my second visit to Leo. It's a great hostel with all the amenities and a wonderful family. When you come here you understand what real Georgian hospitality is. Leo knows 365 toasts and many interesting stories. He also has the most delicious Chacha of all that I've managed to try. His son Archil is cooking his beer. Very convenient location for those who are going to the top of Kazakhstan.

The rooms were nice and cozy, and the owner, Leo was a very nice man, who speak nearly no English, we still managed to communicate with him, by drawing or by help from his son who speaks english.
He took us on a day trip to Jutta with his 4X4 (amazing place), he knows all about Mt. Kazbegi so if you are planning on climbing the peak, he can give you useful tips.

I highly recommend this place !

great room and kind owners

It was a pleasure to finish our journey in this country at the hostel of Leo. He was a kind and hospitable man with an open soul. He set a good table for all his guests, he made a shashlik. The table went to the Ur: we drank wine, sang songs, danced. And the hostel itself liked it: it was clean, warm (which is important!!!) and cheap.

For english translation, his son is informatieve. 
Excellent breakfast. A nice quit place only 3 rooms. From this place easy walk to the trinity church as wel as kazbegi. 

Kazbegi view

We stopped in Gergeti before we went to Kazbek. We got a separate room for two with a shower and toilet. The location is good if you're going to the Holy Trinity Church, the mountains or just stop before/after crossing the border. Beautiful view of Kazbek from the yard is provided)) Thank you very much Leo for the advice about the walk and other help. During our absence he allowed us to leave our car in his yard, and when we returned he helped find accommodation for the night. Very responsive people. Wi-fi may be slow, but it was!

It's a great way to hike mountains.

The owners speak very limited English which makes communication a bit harder but they try their best to make your stay as good as possible. And you don't need to understand Georgian or Russian to notice that Leo is a helpful and great guy. The rooms are oldschool but good and clean while the bathroom-facilities are very good. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful. The only downside is the very limited amount of cooking utensils. Locationwise this place is great if you want to climb up to the church or the glacier (plus Leo used to be a mountaineer himself)

We stayed at this hostel for one night, and we really enjoyed it, the very friendly and hospitable hosts, Leo and his son, gave us a chache in the evening, and in the morning we had a wonderful homemade breakfast.

Leo and his wife Lila, warm people and very friendly ! Nice location, quiet place, regular breakfast, hot water and people that can give you their heart to you ! Just after the river and in direction to the Trinity Church !

There is not much to set this apart from the couple of other homestays/hostels on the little road on the other side of the village from the rest of town. Quiet and clean. I walked in without a reservation and got a private room with en suite and boiling hot water for 50 lari. Not cheap but fair value. Big comfy bed and warm room. Leo is very helpful and his son who speaks English, though does not work at the hostel, only lives there with his parents. The shared rooms looked very cozy. Breakfast can be supplied for 8 lari extra. It isnt bad at that price but not huge. I loved the location as it was on the other side of the river and closer to Gergeti. Recommended.
