Restaurant, breakfast, hotel, situation, parking, kindness of the team ...  excellent points to them for all this ! 

I have been using this hotel for 30 years. Although not luxurious it has been extensively refurbished and now is a very pleasant place to stay, offering a good restaurant, a pleasant bar, secure parking and very helpful staff.

As long time guests at the Hotel du Centre, I am delighted that the Hotel de Wimereux, under new management, has fully maintained the positive aspects of the Centre, but has added to these not least through the renovations.
. Again, our Xmas visit was excellent and we all enjoyed the visit very much. Many thanks.

Very nice welcome, good diner and a good sleep. So as business customer this was a perfect stay. Also a safe parking lot. 


We found this place on our way to eat out.the smell of the food being cooked from outside was amazing. Booked there and then for the next night.food was amazing as where the staff.sea food platter for me was exceptional,as where all the food courses.

We’ve been coming to this hotel for 25 years now and we returned on Beaujolais Nouveau weekend to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our first visit.

As other returning ‘habitués’ have noted, M. & Mme. Boulanger have retired and the hotel is now part of a small chain of establishments in northern France.

Much of the hotel remains unchanged, but two key differences are that:

1.	The Salon is now a very stylish bar  where, throughout the day and evening, you    can obtain drinks and platters of food, for sharing (or not as the case may be!)
2.	The Restaurant menu is now perhaps better described as ‘Fine Dining’ rather than ‘Bistro’. The seasonal menu is more limited but equally more refined, so too is the wine list. The prices are higher, but the increased cost is matched by the enhanced quality that perhaps you might expect of an AA Rosette restaurant in the UK 

Yes, overall the prices are higher but that is not surprising given that the purchase of the hotel has had to be funded and there have been significant increases in energy and food costs.

The hotel would be of particular interest to those needing wheelchair access or carer support. The hotel has a lift, step free access from the car park and also onto the street pavement. It has two rooms that have been specially adapted  to include a bathroom that incorporates a ‘wet room’. Each room has a double bed and a separate sofa bed.

We have visited three times in 2022 and have continued to enjoy an equally warm welcome as in years gone by. Our room has always been spotlessly clean and the breakfast  is a similar quality to before.

This has been a favourite hotel of ours since 1997 and it remains so.

Just an overnight stop but a very pleasant experience. The hotel has been renovated since we last stayed and is much improved. Our room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. The restaurant menu was impressive; we enjoyed an inventive and delicious evening meal; the chef really knows how to cook. 
There is a leafy outdoor seating area at the back of the hotel just right for a pre-dinner drink. Breakfast was help-yourself with everything you need. Our only gripe would be that the secure parking could be cheaper; €12 a day seems a bit steep.

This was our first venture abroad since lockdown, so we were slightly nervous.  But we needn't have worried.  At the Hotel du Centre they appeared to be taking all the needed precautions, yet the place still seemed as warm and friendly as ever.  We had booked quite late and they only had one room, a family room, which had a large double and a single bed as well as a large bathroom with a big walk-in shower.  It was lovely.  Really comfortable.  Everything you needed and all very clean.  We haven't been to Wimereux in July before and were amazed to see it en fete for the summer, with a big fairground, wheel, stalls, fun all around.  Wonderful!

And our dinner was just gorgeous.  The restaurant was full and buzzing, although the tables were either adequately spaced apart or had unobtrusive glass screens between them.  So hard to decide what to have, although husband always has oysters, which he loves and said these were just wonderful.  Then he had cod, which he also really likes and which was excellent.  I had scallops  then moules, which I love.  These were first class - big, clean, not one broken shell or closed mollusc - completely perfect and delicious.  

All the staff here work so hard and deliver a fabulous stay - we will be back - hopefully later this year if all goes well

Visited this quaint hotel in Wimereux for the third time, and as always, it was a treat.

Comfortable rooms, central location, friendly and welcoming reception.  The evening meal in the hotel was superb, very reasonably priced and delicious.  We were under no pressure to leave the table and the experience was relaxed, enjoyable and memorable.  Looking forward to our next visit already

Every year they make a few improvements which is great to see.  The rooms vary in comfort but all contain everything needed and we always get a good night's sleep.  The restaurant is buzzy, very good value and good good-value wines - Discovered Petrus-Gaia here a few years ago

I have just returned from a stay at the hotel with my husband and elderly parents. The hotel is very centrally located in the lovely high street with plenty of parking available in the car park behind the hotel. From there, it was only a short walk through the pleasant garden (with tables and sofas etc.) and there was a ramp which was very useful as my father uses a walker. My parents were in a superior room which had a little terrace (room 1) and there were a couple of stairs in it (but my parents were ok with these). My husband and I were in a comfort room (8) which had a large bed, compact bathroom and separate toilet. We did find the room a little cramped compared to the space my parents had. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night. We didn't have a starter as we were quite hungry but the main took over an hour to come. However, we appreciate that this was the Saturday of a long bank holiday weekend. The tall chap and the blonde lady in particular were extremely helpful with my parents and made them feel very welcome. Three of us had breakfast each day apart from Monday when the restaurant was closed and the breakfast was good. On the whole, we were made to feel very welcome, the rooms were cleaned very promptly each day and the hotel was the right size for us in terms of being suitable for my parents' mobility...the lift was also very efficient.

An excellent stay at the Hotel Wimereux

A nicely situated central hotel, with friendly staff. The family room comfortably sleeps five, with the three kid's beds up on a mezzanine staircase above the main room. We ate in the restaurant for dinner which was excellent, and good value for the quality - strong emphasis on local fresh fish. The breakfast buffet was also nice, an extensive choice including pancakes and fresh orange juice you squeeze yourself.

The negatives are the decour of the rooms is faded and they are sparsely furnished. For the price charged they could do with modernisation. Also they charge €20 per day for the parking, which seems expensive. But we would happily return.

Nice family friendly seaside hotel

Still our favourite hotel in Northern France.

This is the 3rd or 4th time we have visited the Hotel du Centre over the years. Downstairs very much refurbished and looking very smart with new bar and garden design. Car park is secure and has an EV charger, a good amenity.  2nd floor bedroom, "cosy room with shower" was small, shower room a bit tired, but comfy bed.   Restaurant is charming, staff helpful and food good (though we had to send back a barely cooked portion of salmon).  Good wine list (at a price).

Perfect French hotel

In common with other reviewers first visit since the change of owners and upgrade. Facilities and location remain very good. Disappointed though with the restaurant menu. There was no seafood available or indeed listed on the menu and it was not possible to have cheese at end of the meal, rather unusual for a French restaurant by the sea. May well stay again but will not have dinner.
