Résidence Green Bastide - Lagrange Prestige

Just returned from a short stay (5 days) at Green Bastide. As it was an off season break the domaine was very quiet with only about 7 of the houses occupied but this made it all the more relaxing. The domaine is in a really handy location for exploring the area around Frejus. We stayed in No 9, the end of terrace. View from the house balcony was lovely, with a panorama across the golf course and the Argen valley to Frejus, even had a glimpse of the sea. The house was spotless and very well furnished with all the equipment needed for a holiday. We had the corner plot so nice little garden area with all garden furniture, although a little surprised by the 'astroturf' grass but I suppose this beats the problem of keeping the grass green in the hot summer! The village of Roquebrune is a short distance away with small supermarket (Casino) and baker. VIllage itself is interesting. Places worth visiting? - Fayence, Bagnol en Foret, Grasse (perfumeries and Museum) and St Tropez (walk up to the citadel for terrific views across the bay). Our favourite visit was to Villa Euphrassi de Rothschild at Cap Ferrat - beautiul gardens, well worth the detour. We have stayed at lots of self catering properties across France and this was one of the best we have found in terms of cleanliness, equipment and comfort. Highly recommended.
