Ferme Historique Jean de la Fontaine - chambres d’hôtes

My husband and I stayed here two nights in June 2017 on an extended bicycle tour in the Marne Valley. This place has charming hosts, comfortable rooms, and good food. The innkeeper, M. Riera, cooked a breakfast to order (eggs and bacon included!) both mornings we were there, and the evening meal we booked was generous and delicious. This is a small place in the country, which added to the charm for us. The location is quiet, and the accommodations were perfect for us. M. Riera and his wife are convivial hosts, and they were quite flexible in adapting to a miscommunication we had about the night of our arrival. (This may not always be possible, but in our case it was.) Expect to be engaged and encouraged to relax and enjoy yourself. We bicycled in the area and when we arrived at the B&B around 5 or 6 pm, and M. Riera never failed to offer us a cold drink and invite us to kick back with other guests at a shady spot in the garden. This was a memorable and enjoyable stay, and I would recommend this place to others. Please note – I did, but I forgot – the B&B does not accept credit cards. Remember to have your cash on hand.
