Hotel Palm Garavan

Reception: Staff on reception were fantastic in providing all required info. They welcomed and farewelled us each time we entered / exited. Room / facilities: Room number 404 is on the 4 floor and is clean and has a large TV, safe, desk and 2 chairs, small hanging area and Queen bed. The balcony has two chairs and a coffee style table. Self control air conditioning with a sliding glass door/ window that opens fully. The glass door has a external screen to block out light from the room. Laundry: Not available at the hotel. There is a “Revolution Laundry” Self service coin laundry with 2 washers and 1 dryers costing $3 plus depending on machine and dry time. This is located just beyond the supermarket, on the water side of the promenade, in the car park area, as you face the Italian boarder. Parking: is available at an additional cost of €10 per night. Parking and access is tight. Wifi: Complementary and good speed, password required. Down side it tends to drop out regularly and is challenging to reconnect. Breakfast: Available for additional cost, but not utilised on this stay. Conclusion: Great location, friendly staff and a comfortable stay. Letdowns: Extremely slow lift On the two nights we stayed the room had barely enough hot water for 1 person to shower, let alone 2 people. On both nights I had room temperature showers. Not ideal on cold nights. Wifi drops out. Location / Nearby: Supermarket and self serv laundry towards the Italian Boarder, Menton old town, restaurants, ocean, and more all within an easy 5-10 min walk. Getting to hotel: Best use GPS
