Un Banc au Soleil

This accommodation is hidden in a sleepy but pleasant village. The bedrooms are situated around a quiet courtyard with a swimming pool, loungers and tables. One side of the courtyard is the owner's house. The ambiance here means that it can be used as a base or somewhere to relax all day long. One remarkable feature is the ground floor sitting room with kitchen. It is vast and somewhere to rest or have a drink. Our room was right up to date and modern. The bed was little hot, possibly due to the undersheet, but again it is a place to relax as well as sleep. Breakfasts are simple and there is usually something hot. Parking is provided and is safe and easy. There is not much to see in the village but you can walk to the coast where there are a couple of shacks where you can buy oysters. La Rochelle is around 15 minutes away by car. If you want somewhere high quality away from the bustle of La Rochelle then Un Band au Soleil may be for you.
