Good Night Inn Lyon

This property should not be on hotels com. It is not a hotel or Inn. It is like an airbnb but more expensive and without the good communications that characterize that service. I made the booking a month in advance. It said contact the property to make arrangements for check-in using info on the confirmation. Only a telephone number was provided. Why no email? I called long distance several times and left detailed messages re arrival time. No confirmation or any contact from the property. I called hotels com twice. They evidently talked to someone and passed on my info. The second agent suggested using WhatsApp (didn’t work and I’ve used it for years) but confirmed that Noor would meet us with a key at 1830. We arrived and no one was there. We paid for a roam like home and called again. A man showed up 20 mins later. He said he had no idea we were coming and that Noor was a colleague. The apt was ground floor off an inner courtyard. Of two beds only one was half made up. He brought in two towels. As he had noticed that the two people were mother/daughter not a couple he returned the next day with bedding for the second bed. The apt was very hot and only had one small fan on a timer. There was a washing machine as shown in the photo but not the listing. As a loft conversion, the ceilings are very low, so not great for anyone over about 5’9”. The property had a notebook listing local amenities like grocery stores. Good wifi.
