Le Richelieu

We had 8 nights at le Richelieu and we loved it. It is a very nicely-restored traditional French home. We had the upstairs room facing onto the street - a great situation. Yannick is a very welcoming hostess and went out of her way to make our stay a very memorable one - including sourcing a number of interesting cheeses to offer us at breakfast. Yannick is full of energy, despite recovering from a broken arm! Breakfast is served at the large table in the kitchen and included juice, coffee, croissants, bread etc. Very filling and set us up for the day's activities. Typically we would go out and visit places in the morning before the heat of the day built up; then bring our own lunch back to the hotel and spend the afternoon by the beautiful pool. The gardens are beautiful and it is a tranquil oasis. There is so much to see in Uzes and in the region around it - nothing is far away. Yannick offered us suggestions daily for visits and restaurants. All good suggestions, I might add! Le Richelieu is very centrally-located and is 300 meters or so from the central square. Yannick offers off-street parking at a location about 500 - 600 meters from her place. Thank you so much Yannick, for looking after us so well! We hope to return to le Richelieu and we recommend it without hesitation!
