Les jardins du Golf

We were not prepared for this! A friend had booked us in when almost every other hotel in Reims was full. We were six friends travelling together and needed six separate beds. This seemed to be quite beyond the manager, who seemed bewildered at our arrival. However, after dinner nearby we returned to find several couches had been converted to comfortable beds and we had a good night's sleep. The decor and furniture are extraordinary, quite exotic, in fact, although we rather had the impression that most of the rooms were only for looking at and "off limits". Perhaps we would have got a different impression if we were able to stay longer. Note that is is "cash only", which added somewhat to the mysterious aura.
