Rather than staying near the motorway we decided to go to Tavers and stay at the Tonnellerie, we were not disappointed. Comfortable bed and peaceful night (room overlooking the garden). Everything spotless, friendly welcome and delicious breakfast. There is not a restaurant anymore at the Tonnellerie so we went to Beaugency to eat. Beaugency is a beautiful small town a couple of miles away, certainly worth a visit.
