991 reviewsMy husband and I loved Normandy and probably would have felt the same no matter where we stayed in Bayeux, (home-base for our four days in the region), but after spending our first night in extremely sub-par accommodations, a hasty change of lodgings was required. Unfortunately, there was a problem - after a few attempts to secure a room, we were told that the entire town was fully booked. Clearly, we needed help from the travel god who, lucky for us, heard our prayers and - as if by magic - we found ourselves at Hotel Tardif Nobel Guest House receiving a warm welcome from its ‘can-do' host, Anthony. Although the 'guest house', (actually a beyond gorgeous villa), was also fully booked, when we told Anthony that in order to stay we were willing to change rooms every night, he quickly juggled things around and made it happen. He and his equally charming staff anticipated our every need, gracefully made the room changes for us while we were out for the day, fed us delicious breakfasts, and made us feel that it was all ‘meant to be’….which we are pretty sure it was.
