We picked this hotel base on prior experience at the Lapland Boulivardi in Helsinki. Rooms were well maintained and staff helpful and friendly. This hotel is outside of town at the top of the ski lift of a local ski resort. Nice restaurant for dinner and varied selections for the complimentary buffet breakfast. Full service bar in the lobby including snacks and lunch selections. The lobby has a fireplace and several seating areas. There is also a rooftop area to view the night sky if you are lucky enough to experience the northern lights. Because the hotel is outside of town there was no place to easily walk in the winter but taxis were as prevalent as they are in Manhattan. We also found the cabs were easy to hail with an app and were well integrated with Uber also. The hotel recommended these taxi companies. We used 2 of 3 of them and the drivers were all helpful, friendly, and spoke limited English (having an app helps with the language barrier). Taksi Rovaniemi, Menevä or Lähitaksi
