Riihivuoren Lomakylä

We spent our two days winter vacation in Riihivuori. Riihivuori is great place to visit even though the slopes might get booring if staying longer. We stayed in Riihipeikko which was excellent cottage. It was very clean and there were plenty of room for 7 persons. Nothing to complain.

Riihipeikko, what a nice place to stay

Riihivouri has many options to offer, but we got this budget version (Riihipolku) as the last minute option. It was nothing special, but OK. Cleanliness is not number one priority in this place, but perhaps because it is cleaned by those who stay before you in the cottage. It also mean that if you don't want to pay 60EUR extra you will have to do the cleaning too. 
The place had a fire place and firewood ready for us, sauna and small kitchen. The nature in winter is magnificent. Good skiing and snowboarding facilities.

Riihipolku is ok place to stay

My brother had rent Riihipeikko cottage for the weekend to celebrate a birthday. So far all good...
The cottage seemed nice and cosy, appearance was perfect... However, the cleaning was a disaster! I will not detail everything but we washed all the dishes before using them, we needed to make an empty wash cycle in the wasing machine to clean it, in the drying machine there was some dirty clothes, and the status of the bed clothes... I just hoped not to catch anything. Mattresses and pillows were disgusting. We did not let this to ruinour weekend but i certainly will not recommend this place and still if somebody goes there, i recommend to make a tour with the responsible and re-discuss the price.
