Waterfront Apartments

Stayed for 4 nights in Apartment 4.  Can’t fault the place. Very near the ferry terminal, the town and bus stops, with the steam train station just  a few hundred yards away too. We arrived after the office was closed but the instructions for getting the keys were clear and there were no problems. The flat is spacious and well equipped with comfortable furniture, especially the beds! 
The website description is accurate in terms of the two flights of stairs to the flat and the spiral staircase inside so if either of these is likely to bother you, best book somewhere else. 
It has everything you need for a good stay in IOM.

We stayed for a long weekend as a family of 4 (two adults, 12 & 10year old)  the apartment was lovely and spacious, well equipped clean, extremely comfortable & modern yet so lovely and cosy  all at the same time.    The location in the marina was excellent a stones throw from lots of restaurant and cafes, as well as short walk to a supermarket. lovely staff in the office who were very welcoming & helpful in the booking process and on hand during our stay!  We will 100% return and look forward to our next trip!

We stayed in Apartment 2 as it was more accessible (lift access) for a family member. 

There was a plenty of room and storage in the apartment for the three of us. The bedroom was made up as a twin at our request and had two single beds which were generous in size and very comfortable. We had requested a guest bed in the living-room area for our third family member. The guest bed was much better than expected and had an adult man sleeping on it comfortably for the 4 nights we stayed. 

There was an en-suite bathroom with walk in shower off the bedroom and an extra bathroom with sink and toilet off the hallway which was an unexpected bonus.

The facilities were great, the kitchen in particular was well equipped and we were given thoughtful extras that really helped like a carton of milk in the fridge on arrival, washing up liquid, cloths etc. The tray with tea, coffee and biscuits was a very welcome addition after a long day of travelling. 

The location of the apartments is fabulous having stayed in the Isle of Man several times in various places Waterfront Apartments really do have a big advantage in terms of location. The steam railway station is a stones throw away, the main bus terminus is just down the street, as is the ferry terminal. Shops, pubs and restaurants are literally on your doorstep. 

In this regard because you are in the centre of everything the road outside apartment 2 can be noisy especially if the windows are open in nice weather. However, this is more a reflection on the time of year we visited during the TT fortnight when there are more motorbikes on the island. It’s nothing some earplugs won’t sort out. 

Lastly, Tracy who arranged everything for us and who was a friendly face and very helpful both before and while we were there went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was the best it could be. I’m very grateful to her and would thoroughly recommend Waterfront Apartments based on our stay and the support from Tracy that we received. 

This is our only go to place in the IOM.  After years of staying in hotels on the island the difference is massive. Tracy and the team are just wonderful in their welcome. The apartments are perfect for couples, friends or families and offer you everything you need to be self sufficient and are superbly located for local amenities including food, drinks, transport and beautiful sights. The apartments are smart, well furnished, clean and have everything you could possibly need. I’ve already rebooked for 2024. Don’t look anywhere else and book now. 

My husband and i have just spent a week at waterfront apartments.  Great central location,  beautiful and clean throughout,  nicely decorated. The bed was AMAZINGLY comfortable.  Most comfortable bed we've slept in. Everything you need inside the apartment. Staff very helpful and friendly.  The only criticism i would have is the TV was on the small side and picture quality not great Would highly recommend.

These apartments (7 in all) are brilliantly situated for Douglas town centre and it is also easy to get out of town to the South & East. It is easy to self-cater in the well-equipped kitchen. A big Tesco is with five minutes walk, as are a Co-op and M&S. There are plenty of coffee shops nearby as well from a branch of Starbucks to the excellent local Spill the Beans. Apartments 1 & 4 have a shared entrance at the rear so don’t have a view of the harbour and get a bit more traffic noise from Lord Street. 4 is the biggest apartment with a double with en-suite to a twin with a bathroom across the hall. There is a toilet on the main floor adjacent to the living/kitchen/dining room. Lots of space. Staff/owner are lovely to deal with

It's all been said really; lovely apartment, convenient location for so many things and charming people running the place. A special thanks to Tracey who is as delightful as everyone says, and also, when my booking had to be cancelled earlier in the year, returned my deposit the same day! I knew then we had to visit and were not disappointed.

We had the lovely apartment 3 on the first floor, with views over the harbour. As my report could easily be glowing too, I shall mention my 2 tiny niggles, as a heads up to others. The only comfortable seating for watching TV was a 2-seater sofa which was a bit low for me and a bit cosy with 2 good-sized adults on it. I would have liked a compact (bucket?) chair with arms in addition, but accept that the space was limited. The pillows were a bit firm for my liking and next time - there will be a next time - I will take a small soft one with me. These really are very small niggles and my husband found it just perfect.

Despite having mixed weather, including a full day of rain, we had a really good time and I had forgotten just how lovely the island is. We will be back when hopefully the major promenade road works in Douglas will have been completed.

This first floor apartment overlooked the quay and was very central to everything. Bus station, railway station and Tesco all within a five minutes walk. The apartment had all the mod cons, including dishwasher, washing machine and free Wifi. All the staff in the office were very helpful and friendly especially Tracy. The booking process was also very good with confirmation emails and updates.

We stayed in apartment 4 and we couldn't of been more impressed, the apartment was spotlessly clean. Tracey and her team made us feel very welcome. the location is perfect for Douglas shops and restaurants, it is also just a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal, we would highly recommend this accommodation if you are ever to visit the lovely Isle of man. 

I booked apartment number 6 for four adults over the internet, but telephoned to make sure the pictures and apartment actually existed. I also contacted Isle of Man Tourist Office prior to booking who also confirmed the details were accurate.

I spoke to a lovely lady at Waterfront Apartments, she answered the the telephone saying that her name was Tracy. She was extremely polite, courteous and helpful. Having clarified the dates we wanted to visit I asked for her best possible price and was given a discount on her published price. I would suggest doing this as we did get a really good price. 

The booking process was really simple and straight forward, within twenty-four hours we had received a booking confirmation. The booking confirmation gave clear details on key collection and a mobile number if we encountered a problem.

Upon entering the apartment everywhere was spotlessly clean, with some very generous tokens of good will. A large bottle of water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, milk in the fridge and breakfast cereal for the four of us. There was also sufficient laundry tablets, dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, tea towels and a dish cloth all generously provided.

The bedding is of good quality, and feels of at least 600 count cotton. Towels are provided and are of good quality, nice and thick, soft and fluffy. The only thing missing was a couple of big fluffy dressing gowns in each bathroom. 

The main bedroom has an ensuite, with shower, handbasin and toilet, toilet paper is also provided. There is a second shower room in the hall for use by the other double bedroom.

We found the apartment absolutely perfect for two couples, well located for the waterfront and an easy walk to all that Douglas has to offer.

There is no parking at the apartment but this isn't a problem as there were several car parks close by at £4 per 24 hrs. We found this very good, as it is possible to park the car, leave the car park and return using the same ticket for the whole twenty-four hour period. There is also a parking disc provided giving parking of ninety minutes outside of the apartment during the day. Parking is not restricted between 6pm and 8am. 

Highly recommend waterfront apartments, we will be back...

Great location for Douglas Centre & Sea Terminal

The apartments are situated on the North Quay, close to many restaurants and within walking distance of the town centre.  The bus from the airport drops you off at Victoria Street, which is only a 5 minute walk away; and the bus back (also to Peel/Ramsay) is literally round the corner.  The steam railway is also a 5 minute walk.

We stayed in apartment 5 on the 2nd floor (a lift is available).  The living room/kitchen has all mod-cons and utensils (apart from egg-cups!); fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, TV, DVD player (although no control for the DVD so we could only watch the first episodes of the DVDs we brought!), settee, table/chairs.  

To be honest we only used cooking facilities for breakfast, preferring to eat out in the evenings. However a word of warning about local restaurants; we struggled to find one open on a Sunday; we could only find the Barbary Coast open on a Sunday, and on other days they don't start serving food until after 5pm.

The bedroom had a walk-in wardrobe area and whilst generally we slept very well, the plumbing was noisy at times and you can hear the traffic at the crossroads outside.  This wouldn't put us off staying again though.
