Tolteka Plaza

Very nice medium sized hotel in a centralized area. There is a view to the beautiful pool as soon as you walk in the front entrance. Check in was relatively Quick with a very nice lady who is at the front desk by herself the room with the double beds have a work desk, a chest drawer, and a closet. Everything you need for a stay definitely recommend this place.

It was a nice stay in the hotel. The food was good and the room was clean.

There was a lot of trash on the side of the property, that was the view from my room.

This hotel was clean,  accessible to  dine in for all meals,  the breakfast was included for the entire stay.  The staff was very  helpful,  a guard was in  the premises 24 hrs providing a safe environment. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and affordable place.

The hotel and restaurant were great.  Room was comfortable and spacious.  Pool was wonderful.  Breakfast was very good.  Would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel.

The staff was delightful, very freindly.  The place was exceptionally clean.  It is a bit worn down in some areas but still a good place to stay. The food was very good. Only thing I did not like was no mini fridge or microwaves in rooms.

Place is confortable, not too noisy, accessible staff, close to places of interest, restaurants and shopping areas.

Nice place and nice customer service but no refrigerator in the room , bathroom sink has a problems we told them but was not fixed, no safe box our personal belongings were left in the room and one of the ladies in the front desk was being really mean and keeps asking to pay everything up on front went I already told her we were going to be 4 more days and I made the reservation for the whole 9 days with  4 months in advance but she also said I have to pay or she won’t even give us the tickets to get breakfast her name is alexia Figueroa I had to ask for her name as she was not a nice customer service representative

Hotel tolteka

Tolteka Plaza was a welcome respite in our travel to El Salvador. We had a large group in attendance (35 people) and the hotel was excellent. Clean, modern, friendly staff, adequate rooms, and wonderful food service. The pool was beautiful and was cleaned every morning. The staff was always courteous in attending to our needs and was friendly. There was security on premises, with extra on the weekend. Easy walking distance to Wal-Mart as well as restaurants. I think it's the best that Santa Ana has to offer for your stay there! 

Great stay at Tolteka

This hotel is very nice. Spacious, and clean. Convenient location. Just off main highway, bus stop and the big mall on extreme east side of town (closer to El Congo and San Salvador). It is separated out front by a large front yard, so you feel secure, and separate from road. Armed guard at door way. Did not hear street noise. There was a large wedding taking place one evening, but the hotel is built around a nice large interior courtyard/pool so no noise at all from wedding. Our room faced the pool, which from other reviews is preferable to facing the street. This is comparable to a Days Inn in America, like a 3 star American hotel. It looks and feels like an American chair hotel of the 3 star variety. The only issue I had was ordering food in the restaurant because they speak no English, and the menu is in Spanish only. The restaurant staff were pleasant, but somewhat disinterested and only checked back on our table infrequently.  This was curious as we were the only ones in the restaurant at about 7 or 8pm. It is of medium size with perhaps 20 tables.  The receptionist helped us order a Pizza Hut delivery, and also a taxi. She was pleasant, and cooperative, but no English ability.

Amenities are below average. Shower head points towards wall making it hard to shower. One provided bar soap can't be any smaller for two guests. Not good! One small water bottle for two guests is way below expectations as a greeting gesture. Sad!

Pleasant experience

The furniture in the rooms needs to be renewed almost immediately, as does the bathroom, especially the shower, and some of the people working there urgently need to know something about customer service.

Nice location, safe, good breakfast.  Condition of the property - while clean, appeared very worn.
