Serenity Alma Heights

Just got back from this years family holiday at Serenity Alma. Whilst the holiday did not have the best start due to EasyJet losing my case, this was resolved by the hotels General Manager Aladin who went above and beyond to support me getting my suitcase back. As a family of four with two boys (16 & 11) we had a fantastic time throughout the holiday. We were greeted by a huge lobby with smiling Bell Boys and Reception staff, went to our huge, well appointed hotel family room which was clean, functional and with a second bedroom with connecting door. On the first morning we were struck by the fact every member of staff acknowledged/greeted us and smiled. This seemed to be the trend throughout our stay. 2 massive pools with the hardest working Lifeguards I have ever experienced who were always busy, smiling and engaging with the guests. The on-site Aqua Park was great with a good variety of slides for all ages, hardly ever queued. The evening Funfair was more tailored to younger kids, albeit a few rides for older children/adults and we were given 16 ride tickets at reception when checking in. Eating wise the large Buffet Restaurant always had variety and we never struggled to find a table. We went for 10 days and could book 3 Al a Carte meals free of charge, from the 6 restaurants (some in the sister hotel next door). All the restaurants were great. Snacking restaurants were adequate, not the biggest menus but fine. Ice Cream on tap 12-5pm. Lots of opportunities for excursions from the guys coming round when at the pool, some people don’t like being hassled however we always listened and had some light hearted banter with them. Even they acknowledged us daily and remembered you. Entertainment staff always visual and busy with activities and engaging with guests. Evening entertainment, was ok but not something we make a bee line for anyway. The arcade room was the most modern I’ve ever seen with a least 6 VR rides, my 11 yr old was in seventh heaven. Our room was cleaned every day even though we thought it was 3 times a week. We are not a beach family but did go down there once, you can walk it in around 10 mins or catch the Shuttle Bus which runs every 10/15 mins. Not the greatest beach I’ve seen however walk up the pier and into the sea to snorkel and see the Coral and Tropical Fish. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for both couples and especially families. Great service, lots to do, good food variety, great pools and slides and guaranteed weather.
