Guesthouse Las Piedras

I spent 2 nights here (1 on arrival and 1 before departure) and I loved it. Lila is so friendly and makes you feel part of the family. They even invited me to spend the afternoon at the beach with them. She is a great cook and the breakfast and evening meal (on request ) are delicious. The rooms are unique and I especially liked the one upstairs with a balcony . If you are making an onward journey by bus the bus station is only an easy 10 to 15 minute walk away on flat ground. The 500 pesos which the taxi charged me for a less than 5 minute journey was the only time in my 2 weeks of travelling around the Dominican Republic that I felt really ripped off. I would really recommend this as a place to stay if you aren’t interested in faceless ,luxury accommodation
