Elkaoba Hotel

When our timeshare folded in Sosua, we looked for another place to stay. We stayed for one week Friday February 15 through Friday February 22, 2019. It was just my best friend and I. We chose a room that was much like a traditional American hotel room (ie: 2 queens with a small kitchenette and a bathroom). The pricing was reasonable and the room satisfied our needs. The pool area was pristine and the staff was helpful when we needed them. Previous Trip Advisor reviews focus on multiple dogs on the property, but we had no problems with them at all. The owner of the hotel does assist in animal rescue so there are several dogs on site, but we enjoyed their presence. We did not find them loud or distracting and instead they only added to the joy of our experience. I commend the owner for the steps he takes to assist the downtrodden beach animals of Cabarete. We were able to walk from the hotel to almost every place we wanted to go, and taxis were readily available for longer day trips. We would stay here again for sure!!!
