Family Club at Barceló Bávaro Palace

Overall I liked staying here however after staying at other Barcelo resorts, I would have some comments, place to improve services. Positive Everybody is very kind. I suppose it is the Dominicin attitude! They were nice and kind. We have multiple intolerances. At the breakfast they really did their best to help us with glutenfree bread, muffins, alternative milks (coconut, soja, almond). The main chef even baked pancakes for my kids! I was amazed. Here is a special thank to Mr. Herrera, the supervisor of the chefs. Every day he personally prepared the food for my kids in order to avoid any problematic food! French restaurant was excellent. The show at Japanese restaurant is worth to see. The pool for kids (with slides) is really good for kids. Ours loved it. There is a huge variety in the buffet. All food are tasty. You have the chance to try local food as well. Family room contains microwave too. Negative We never experienced anywhere so rude guests as in this resort. I know this is not the resort’s fault but it definitely made our holiday worse. Eg. They were superLOUD! Even at 4.00am or 1.00am. They were shouting, slam doors, etc. A guard could warn them not to do! It happened every nigh! We also never ever experienced that the guests (I guess they did so..) stole our sunbed and beachtowel (=hotel towel). Even if we left our personal stuff on these. They put our belongings in the floor and took our sunbed, including the towels. It happened every day. Amazing! I tried to get 2 blankets instead of 1 double blanket on our double bed. I asked 9 times (!). It took me 3 days to get these as nobody understood what I want. I even drew it to housekeeping and premium reception. Guests on the beach did not wear their swimming bra however it was not the adults only hotel. Many times we could not enter into our room as our braceletkey did not work. The premium lounge was 10-minute walk from the room. There is a temporary premium guest service closer but they have breaks when they are not there. Suggestion to Hotel It would be great if the gym would open earlier and close later as there are many guests from different timezone. It would be great if you provide at least one dairy (=milk) free icecream among the icecream varieties in the restaurant. Also would be great if glutenfree bread would be permanently on the shelf in the buffet. It is anyway prepacked. It would be also good if you provide glutenfree pizza, at least in the Italian restaurant. It would be great if buffet lunch would be available from noon. Suggestion to guests We chose an Ocean view suite. It was on the ground floor. I loved it! (Room no. 1335) Other part of my family stayed in a family room (room no 2222) which is a corner room therefore maybe a little bit quiter than other rooms. However I would suggest ground floor room in this case too. We were in building 1 and building 2, which are further from the main lobby/restaurant but therefore quiter than building 3 and 4. There is a market on the beach, next to the hotel. There is much better price than in the hotel.
