Lovely place for a night stay close enough to the cliffs. The pharmacist room was spacious, clean and well equipped ( incl. soap ) for us to stay. 

Bathrooms were clean and always available, hence we did non feel any discomfort in having the shared.

The breakfast at the coffeehouse was superb.

Interesting for several reasons. First, this is a historic building with a lot of character, the original town Pharmacy complete with period family apartment that has been converted into a modestly priced but upmarket B&B. Second, the mid town location and ample access to free, time non-restricted parking is brilliant. Third, downstairs is a very popular coffee roasting and cafe business with discounted tariffs for B&B guests. Breakfast here is a continental platter of good bread, pretty standard jam and cheese, good coffee, yoghurt and fruit. Guests have free use of a frankly excellent kitchen upstairs so self-catering is eminently possible. Honesty-box beer and soft drinks from the fridge, coffee complimentary if you make it yourself. Or fork out for the real thing downstairs. Rooms vary. Comfortable beds. No blinds where we were but thin curtains letting in a lot of summer morning light. But great views of town and sea. 
Very competitive room rates. No on-site staff at night but a phone number is provided for emergencies. Free WiFi.

Cycling down the coast, we wanted to stay somewhere right in the middle of town. The tourist bureau didn't seem to have information on all the options available (maybe they only promote places that offer kick backs - I'm not sure?), as this place was not recommended to us and we found it only by cycling past.

There is a shop at the front, a cafe at the back and 6 or 7 rooms on the floors above. As noted in prior reviews, the rooms are elegant, with shared kitchen, dining room, and bathroom facilities, which suited us fine, but doesn't always suit others.

We prepared our own meal after visiting the local supermarket, as well as preparing breakfast, so I can't speak for the breakfast on offer, but it looked pretty good.

There are options to pay only for the bed, or to include breakfast as well.

We were very happy with the comfort and services on offer for the price.

Great location, a gem of an old building with very interesting features and great options

Great for self caterers, right in the middle of town, but also with a cafe down below.
