Cozy restaurant in old-fashioned style that fits the building, really nice food and good wine, sweet and pleasant service, reasonable prices - great place to eat overlooking the Limfjord, near the center of Løgstør

Hotel du Nord/Løgstør Badehotel is very well situated with view to Limfjorden. From your arrival you will feel well, very friendly and competent service at the reception. One must be aware, that the hotel does not have a lift to the first and second floor. Some of the rooms may need a "refreshment"; however, one has the feeling of being somehow back in the good old days, but with necessary comfort.
The hotel as well as the city of Løgstør offers you a lot of interesting possibilities - without any kind of stress.

If you approach this hotel with a sense of humour you'll be fine. Comedic and Fawlty toweresque is probably best description - made us laugh a lot. However our room was not cleaned once during our 3 night stay.... Sticky shower curtain and wonky photos added to charm..

I had been travelling for 12 hours when I arrived at the hotel and was tired. Check in was quick and straight forward. The Hotel is an older property but is well kept and the rooms are comfortable with everything I needed for my 2 night stay. The Location of the hotel is outstanding being directly opposite the beach with stunning views.

We stayed 2 nights as part of a deal including evening meals. The hotel is only few meters from the waterfront and the view from our room was excellent. Service was very nice and always with a smile. The restaurant served traditional Danish meals with a modern twist - delicious. The interior of our room and the bathroom would benefit from some renovation, but sleeping quality was good.The internet worked OK.

Hotel du Nord/Løgstør Badehotel (I really like both names…) has a great location on the waterfront. Many rooms (officially more expensive) have nice views over the water.

It is an OK place to stay.

It’s a provencial hotel for good and bad. Rooms including furnitures look like they did in Denmark in small towns in the 1960’s, but beds and bathroom is overall all right, though the shower it self needed attention. No decoration in room.

Doors between first and second floor (on first floor) slams heavily, which might be an issue on first floor, though I couldn’t hear anything on second floor.

Breakfast is reasonable, though the coffee machine doesn’t use beans but powder and juice is (very much) from concentrate. Carpet in breakfast room is very ugly with large patches.

They charged me quite a lot too much at check out, and were only able to refund me in cash, not onto the credit card in question.

Old-fashioned, water front location

We stay for one night at the Hotel du Nord and had booked a stay for one night incl. 3-course dinner and breakfast buffet plus a room upgrade.

On the positive side: the hotel is situated right at the waterfront, which is nice. And the staff at the reception were friendly, althouh they had major troubles finding our reservation in their system.
On the negative side: the hotel is worn down. Our “superior” room featured armchairs tha were threadbare and the stuffing was all, that was left on the armrests. Pillows in the bed were so thin that a piece of advice would be: bring your own! Bathroom was fairly clean, but in urgent need of a make-over.

We had a major fight to get the 3-course dinner. “It was not available, but we could choose one main course from the menu! I thind there were more than 10 people in the restaurant with the same problem.... After long diskussions we managed to get, what we had paid for, but do not expect anything of quality in that restaurant! Breakfast was beyond standard. There should have been boiled egos, but “they did not have any”.

We have stayed at a lot of hotels over the years, and we can definitely say that this is by no means a 3-Star hotel. 2-Stars would be a better category. Only go there if all other options are exhausted!
