CPH Living 

We stayed 1 nt at the CPH Floating Hotel post cruise. It was approx 20 -25 min from the cruise terminal via uber. Quick and easy. $40 U.S. I think? We arrived early at 10:15 intending to have our luggage held. Pleasant surprise to arrive and be told they had an early check out AND our room was ready. Thank you. We had room 4 of 12. We were on ground level. All 12 face the waterfront. All rooms seemed to have the exact same view so don’t think room placement really mattered. I liked being on ground level and closer to the water. That’s just a personal preference though. Ground level was definitely better for navigating luggage. What a fun property and novel concept. We look for unique properties to stay at when traveling instead of hotels. We’ve stayed in tree houses, train cabooses, teepees, boats, etc. This was perfect for another unique stay. The location of the property is perfect. Walking distance to so many different areas along the canals. 5 min walk or less to: GoBoat rentals (self guided) or tour Kayak / SUP rental Bicycle rental Restaurants ice cream shops Bakeries Grocery store We walked to Hiko Pizza and Sandwich shop. We ate outdoors but could have gotten to go and eaten along the canal banks or on the rooftop terrace of the hotel. We bought snack like groceries for dinner ( grocery around the corner from Hiko) and ate on top of the boat. Great end to the day. Bkst included ….fruit, yogurt, breads and pastries. Starts at 7:30 officially but she was open at 7:15 the day we departed. Self serve on your honor fridge for drinks and small selection of snacks in the fridge in breakfast area of boat. You pay when you checkout. Location is perfect for a morning / evening walk or run. You can run the canals & bridges for several miles. There are also many parks to explore. We booked a 13 mile / half marathon tour with Go Running Tours. Departed from our hotel and saw multiple parks and historical landmarks. Perfect morning on our day of arrival. The views! Whether from your room, laying in bed, the rooftop terrace or even from the shower…. Wonderful! Watching all the boats float by and people swimming and sunning on the canal banks was entertainment alone. Room itself was basic but perfect for a 1-2 nt stay. There is LOTS of noise on the canals and bridges until at least midnite. After our 1st nt we understood why in the breakfast bar there is a basket of ear plugs for guests. 😂. Trust me ….take a pair!! Wish we had. I would actually suggest they put them in the guest rooms automatically OR suggest guests take a pair at check in. At midnite I wasn’t wanting to trek down to reception desk in my pj’s to get a pair of The room also was warm all nt. We stayed in late June. There was no air conditioning. There was a floor fan but not lots of air from it. We slept with the door open and outside was cooler than inside. If staying in warmer months would suggest opening window and water facing door as soon as it begins to cool off in the evening to get a jump on cooling the room. Most times of the year I would say this would not be an issue but June was warm. There was no sheet on the bed and only the heavy/thick comforter. Due to the heat a light sheet on the bed would have been ideal. Bring a sleep mask. It didn’t get dark until 11 pm in June and light of day woke me at 4:15 am. We had the door open for air so there was no way to block the light. Between heat, noise and light neither of us slept more than a few hrs unfortunately. That’s ok….we had 24 hrs of travel home the next day. Plenty of time to sleep. Even with those 3 variables we’d absolutely book this property again. For a 1-2 nt stay it’s perfect in so many ways. For a longer stay in Copenhagen, though, or a stay requiring you be well rested etc you may want to re-consider.
