Penzion v Kapli

This place was chosen as a "base camp" for our Tour de Santini weekend and we could hardly choose a better one. Since the booking of the room, the communication from the owner´s side was very opened and absolutely friendy, providing all useful detail in advance. For those, who are inerested in Jan Blazej Santini Eichel´s (JBSE) architectural masterpieces the Zdar nad Sazavou is the place, where some of his master works are located. And in the heart of it is the pension St. Margaret´s Chapel. The facility itself is at the main Santini street, but bedrooms are situated to the other, more quiet site. Parking is just at the other side of the street. The lady at the reception was incredebly friedly and kind. The way to our room led through a lovely backyard with cozy rest places and private sauna. At the groud floor, there is a fireplace, which we´ve enjoyed (with splendid Alsatian red wine) every evening before the dinner. Our room was more than 100% ready, tidy, clean. The house offers for dinner either a local trout from Kinski´s packets or Alsatian Trate Flambe (Alsatian pizza), we´ve had both and both (accompanied with exceptional Alsatian wines) were delicious. The breakfests were at the same level as any other servis provided - georgeous, esp. egg specialities and home made pies! All JBSE´s buildings in Zdar are, with exception of the Church of the Holy Trinity, at 2,5km), in a perimeter of about 1km from the penzion. If I may rate the St. Margaret´s Chapel penzion on a scale of one-to-five stars, I give them seven with a high recommendation to visit. Finally, I would like to thank once again to the owner&staff for astonishing weekend we´ve spend at St.Margaret´s Chapel! See you next summer! Jana&Dan
