2nd time at the Damon and was not disappointed. Location is ideal for King's Mall shopping, local pubs and restaurants and the bus station is next door if you don't want to walk to the harbour or if you want to head to old town or Market. Atmosphere at the Damon is great. Friendly attentive staff who never forget your name or what you drink friendly guests who make solo travellers welcome in their company have made many friends who are all returning guests. Rooms are spacious and well equipped for your stay. Regularly cleaned and new towels bedding left dependant on length of stay. Value for money and change left over if you do not want to stay in the hotel all the time. Can be noisy if your apartment overlooks the road (but that's where earplugs come in lol). Plenty to keep you busy both in and out of the hotel. Pino and Danny from entertainment make everyone feel welcome and the bar staff are fantastic Robert John Victoria and Eleni cannot do enough for you. The restaurant staff never forget you and greet you like family. Even learned a bit of Nepalese and Bengali this time. All in all a great place to be and cannot wait to return in October with more family and friends for a special birthday celebration.
