Olympic Lagoon Resort - Paphos 

Apologies this is late! I wrote it after the trip and forgot to post it!! My wife and I stayed at this hotel at exactly the same time list year, and my review from this trip says much the same as my last review. It is a beautiful hotel, and undergoing a refurb later in the year. As before, everything was faultless, but, as I said last time, it is the staff that make it special. They are all, without exception, happy friendly, smiling and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble for them. Special thanks must got to Leoni, on reception, who excelled in helping us, with a smile and a very pleasant manner. Also to Chris, who was Doorman/porter and general 'welcomer', who always came over to chat whenever he saw us, and asking could he help us with anything, and finally thanks to Ion, one of the bar waiters, who remembered us from last year and treated us like long lost friends, which was lovely, and made us feel welcome, which is what everyone likes to feel. The hotel is lovely, though the refurb will be welcome, and due. The rooms are lovely but a little dated now, and lack certain things like adequate 'easy access' bedside power sockets and USB ports, but I am probably being picky. The pool areas are lovely, and the allocated of sunbeds for the week is a very good idea, and saves the 'crack of dawn 'sunbed obsessives!. The evening entertainment is excellent and of a professional quality, and the Queen Experience last year would have filled any theatre anywhere. The food was generally good, mainly buffet style, and buffet meals are never scalding hot, but plenty of choice to suit every palate. The only advice I would give is pick as high a room standard as you can afford, as some of the rooms have very restricted views, and I would recommend contacting the hotel prior to confirm the room has unrestricted views as you desire. Also, if you book a superior room or Fishermans Cottage, you get access to adults only Pool area and poolside bar, which is always our preference. Unfortunately a superior room wasn't available this trip, so we couldn't get adult only area access, which was a disappointment, as a returning guest, but rules are rules I suppose! So, Management, thank you, and keep up the good work, and be proud of all your staff, and please give my thanks to all, especially those those I mentioned. They are your best assets!! Thank you all.
