Lavande Hotel-Zhongshan Fu Hua Dao Branch

I stayed at this hotel in early 2005, and in summary, it is a good hotel – for the price you pay…However, you get what you pay for – and on arrival, the service was OK, but I wouldn’t call it particularly welcoming or friendly – efficient perhaps, but friendly – hmm…no…That is not to say that I didn’t encounter any friendly staff in the hotel…The hotel itself is maintained well, although it may give the impression of being a little old fashioned…My room was quite big, with a good view over part of Zhongshan – with two comfy armchairs, a Television, and a kettle…Facilities in the room aside, the environment was clean, neat, and modern…Attached to the room was a presentable, but basic bathroom, with a plant in the corner, and basic toiletries…A nice touch was the delivery of (what appeared to be) complimentary fresh fruit to my room one night, and on the ground floor, there is a Chinese restaurant which serves a selection of nice food…Breakfast was served in a different restaurant, and it was a buffet of largely Chinese breakfast items – tasty, and quite fresh…The service aside, this hotel represents great value for money, in presentable surroundings, although people who value great customer service at all times may wish to go somewhere else.
