Fantastic hotel. a real gem of Chinese hospitality. the breakfast was telling only aspect not up to standard as it was poor, not fresh, cold eggs, lousy coffee, and no hot items. however, all other aspects of the hotel. housekeeping, reception, customer service, booking and reservation, bell service, great room standards, perfect location. we had a very romantic and nostalgic late evening walk in the ancient city and find small restaurants hidden inside with great food. the best food in this place are beef noodles, fried vegetables, rice wine, fries liver, la mien, local bread, and strawberries. inside the ancient city there's a guy who sells ginger cubes, candies of various types, teas, and Titans all homemade. surprisingly almost everyone can understand basic English. great place to retire.
