MaXim Hotel

I have stayed at many hotels in small Zhejiang cities (like Yongkang) and have found that most of them tend to be older and not so clean. However, this is not the case with the Maixi Hotel. I was very impressed with the room layout and the decoration of the rooms for a hotel in this price range. The room is huge, has a nice sofa and tea table, outstanding bathroom, and I even have a private veranda. If you find yourself needing to stay in Yongkang, I highly recommend this hotel over the other larger hotels in this area. The only issue is that the hotel doesn't have any non-smoking rooms. When I checked in, I asked for a non-smoking room and the front desk agent was very candid with me and said that all rooms are smoking. There was a faint smell of cigarette smoke in my room, but this is to be expected in most Chinese hotels.
