Gold Time Hotel

Stayed here while doing business in the area.  This was one of the nicest hotels I stayed in during my time in China, but it was also fairly expensive compared to other places I stayed.  I expect this is because of the location on the beach.

This hotel is a relaxation destination. The views from the hotel are of the relaxing beach and sea. This hotel is very clean and has everything a beach front resort should have. No matter what time of year the hotels hot springs are always open! There are so many different pools at different temperatures that there is one for anyone. 

Upon arrival I was upgraded to an executive suite (for no apparent reason). The room overlooked the beach and the view was absolutely stunning. Just a shame that it was freezing outside and that the beach did not look that clean.
Anyway. The room was too hot and the temperature of the room could only be adjusted by opening the door to the balcony. The room was large and looked nice - but don't look too closely. Althought the hotel is not that old (maybe two years?) the carpet showed stains, the tiles in the bathroom had cracks and everything looked slightly neglected.
Breakfast was alright - coffee, juice, an egg frying station plus noodle soup etc. 
The gym is only open during the day time (9 am to 10 pm or so, so mainly useless for the working traveller). 
The staff was friendly but could not speak English very well. Check-in and check-out took forever (nothing new for a Chinese hotel though!)
But so far the best hotel in Bayuquan development zone.

Just returned from the otherwise known "Gold Time" hotel in Yingkou...we spent just one night here with friends, rooms are great, very spacious with a very comfy bed...
breakfast was ok, pretty much geared up for Chinese travellers, although there was enough on offer for us, one mention is the french bread was delish....mmmm....one downside, there was no orange juice :-( ....... tea & coffee very nice (which is unsuall) for Chinese hotels.....something else we ought to mention is all the hot plates which contained food, the lids were left open, which made the food just warm..!!! needs addressing that one...
Another dissapointment was the outdoor pool had no water in it, not sure why...also there was no beach bar service...we had to get our own, which wasn't a issue, more of a pain, as a 5 star hotel should have these facilities...this hotel I'm sure will be a top class hotel in time. We will return next year to see if there is any improvement....another issue was not all the restaurants were open ie the Western one, and we struggled to get lunch on the first day, on the second we ordered room service and ate it in the bar...
The staff speak very little if any English which we thought may be a issue with some people, we just got on with it the best we could.....overall a lovely hotel that needs a bit of tweeking here and there....
A little on the pricey side as well £145 a night B & B
