Usually we stay at Wanning and then move to Sanya. Was the first time staying at Wenchang Hilton. Frankly speaking I didn’t know what to expect. But… First impression, staff is very friendly and helpful, we booked a villa (my wife, 2 kids and in-laws) and it was WOW…house and pool are spacious!!! The hotel surroundings reminded me on a botanical garden, white sand beach is nearby (very clean), pool is ok and provides nice toys for kids, (only downside was that two additional pools had been under renovations but wasn’t mentioned anywhere). I particularly liked the jocking route around the beach through a little ‘jungle’ track, wonderful scenery. Food- ok considering money value we had been ok with. There is a Chinese restaurant which provides local cuisine and a western one (was ok). If you like you can try restaurants nearby in Wenchang (had the feeling choices had been limited). All in all - money value and what you get is fair. For a week break perfect.
