The location in Shuhe old town is perfect for exploring the picturesque cobbled streets lined with shops and restaurants. It is close the North Gate where you can get transport to take you to other tourist attractions. The rooms themselves encompass a small courtyard area on two floors, showing typical ancient Chinese style architecture which gives you the experience of how families lived there hundreds of years ago. There would have been a different family in each room and they would have shared the courtyard, perhaps cooking there together. Sleep quality was not great for me personally as I prefer a super soft bed with no support whatsoever and absolute silence. But I'm sure normal people will be fine! The rooms have really nice interiors and amenities. You will find all toiletries and towels available in your private bathroom. There is hot and cold drinking water plus tea making facilities. There are different sized rooms available for different types of holiday-maker. If you need anything at all, just ask at the reception desk. The customer service was the best I have received anywhere in China. Staff were all very helpful and gave me recommendations for sight-seeing. They also booked transport for me and gave me a Chinese mobile to take in case of emergency. For the quality and provisions in the room, the rooms are well priced. If you are not out and about you can watch TV or movies on the TV in your room. There is a good selection to chose from.
