Sukhothai Lijiangbieyuan Inn

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Sukhothai Lijiang Inn at the 2nd week of September. The inn is located very close to the south gate of the old town. The staff at the inn hardly speaks any English but when our taxi driver called them they came to escort us from the south gate of the old town. Despite not speaking any English, the girl at reception was super helpful, for example, when we went out and it was raining she signed us to wait and ran to bring us an umbrella. She was also very helpful when we had problems with our Chinese SIM card and when we needed her to order us a taxi to the airport, though those conversations were done mainly using Google Translate. The inn has a few rooms surrounding a small yard with a small water fountain. The rooms and yard have great WiFi reception. The inn supplies towels, soap, shampoo, tooth paste, tooth brushes, a hair dryer, toilet paper, mosquito repelling tablets and slippers. The room was huge and had a small back yard. The bed was very hard but once we asked for a second blanket and put it under the sheet it was better. The room has heating and a TV with one English speaking (news) channel. The bath room was quite big and its floor was very clean. The shower was almost above the toilet but had a curtain so it didn't get the toilet wet. The weird thing was that the was a glass wall between the bathroom and the bedroom but there was a curtain so you could still get the privacy you needed. Our only problem with the Sukhothai Lijiang Inn was that there were A LOT of mosquitoes there and the room’s walls and ceiling were covered with squashed mosquitoes that were killed by previous guests. All n' all a great place!
