71 reviewsAs I walked by this hotel I paused and the manager Sacha called out in English: “Where do you want to go?” I was finishing my 10+km hike from Ping’an village and was headed to the parking lot to find a car back to Ping’an. But what I really wanted was some fresh juice, a place to plug in my phone and I had to work out a way to get to my next destination: Yangshuo. What I received from Sacha was all that plus more. A wonderful conversation, a new friendship, a few tears as we shared openly with each other about life and two big hugs good-bye. She served me a great passion fruit juice, found me a driver to take me to Ping’an and the same driver gave me a great price to get me to Yangshuo. And I Wasn’t Even Staying Here As A Guest. She just served me out of her love for people. I didn’t even look at any of her rooms, but her view and hospitality were enough to make me want to return. I hope to lead a hiking tour through the rice terraces in the near future. And I would love to stay with Sacha at the Dragon Den’s Hotel.
