Jintone Guilin Grand Hotel

Stayed here for one night with a Wendy Wu tour. It is in a pretty area by the river but unfortunately, we arrived around 10 PM and left early the next morning so could not take advantage of it. Room amenities have large walk-in shower, bulk shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush with paste, comb, safe and small refrigerator. Unlike many European hotels, it does have washcloths. The bed was also firm. We folded the comforter in two and slept on that to soften it. Free wifi but facebook, google, news, and any search engines are blocked in China. Two complimentary bottles of water are given as locals and tourists alike cannot drink the water. A kettle for boiling water is available for water to rinse out your toothbrush. You could drink the water if you boiled it but it doesn't taste that good. Staff spoke little English. Included were a drink ticket for every person which included a beer or soda at the bar. Included western breakfast was a nice selection of food with an omelette station. Eastern breakfast was served on another floor. Nice, attractive lobby. There is a swimming pool but I didn't even get a chance to see it. Clean. View of older apartments from our room. Quiet.
