We stayed in Dec. We booked the hotel through one of the popular booking sites.  Used our Credit card to pay on line. We thought the charge went through when we booked in May 2014. Then on the day of check out the hotel said they cancelled our first booking and wanted a different credit card and charged us. We did not want to argue as we were going to the airport that day. This is a strange practice. We came back but found out since May 2014 to Dec 2014 they did not charge the first card.  But, after six months we just did not remember they did or did not. We thought they double charged us but they did not. I understand they want to protect themselves but the cancellation of the on line booking then charge on the check out is confusing. This can be handled better.

Confusing check out

This hotel is far from the town. It is located 5th ring road. 

The room is quite comfortable just the water heater not really stable. And my friend's room air-cond heater is not working but after inform the reception, the next day fixed for them.

Corridor can always hear people's chattin, people's walking noise. It's not soundproof. Kinda annoying while having a sleep. 

Breakfast choice not much, I stayed there for 4 nights and everyday breakfast is the same and cold food.

Far from town, comfortable room

Having booked a tour of Beijing, this was the hotel that was allocated to us.  The hotel is looking very dated and the rooms could also do with some refurbishment, although they were clean and comfortable.  There is free wifi in the lobby which is a bonus.  The worse part of the hotel is the breakfast, the selection is not the best and the quality below average.  Worst of all the food is not kept hot and is cold.  The four slice toaster only had one side of one slot working so took an age to make two slices of toast.  There are a few places near to the hotel for food and many of the party decided this was the better option for breakfast.
Fortunately we did not spend too much time in this hotel, will hopefully never be staying here again.

Room OK, Breakfast Awful

The location is close to shops but rather far from the center of beijing. Food for breakfast were mediocre (might be bad to some)

Rooms are properly equipped with heater and aircon for both cold and hot weather. Internet available for free via wifi but only accessible in the lobby

Not impressed with my experience there

While this hotel THINKS it is 4-star, it doesn't even rate ONE star.  It reeks of cigarette smoke throughout the hotel lobby, hallways, elevator, and rooms.  Even the bathroom shower curtain reeks of smoke.  The bathroom had moldy, stained floors, walls and tub. The toilet didn't flush correctly, if at all, and the toilet seat hard such a large crack that it pinched our butts!  The tub was disgusting and the shower had NO water pressure.  The furniture was stained and had rings on top of most pieces. The carpet was stained both in the room, in the hallways, and in the lobby.  Breakfast was the pits - almost all fried foods.  The boiled eggs were rubbery and tasted strange. NO one spoke English at the front desk or anywhere in the hotel. This hotel is over 25 miles from the airport and 15 miles from the center of town.  Our tour guide said that the south side of town where this hotel is located is the slum of Beijing. It opened in 2004 and appears to have NEVER been upgraded.  The ONLY plus was that the mattress was firm.  Again, RUN FAR FROM THIS HOTEL!!!!
