The hotel is really worth it for its price-quality ratio, it has a courtyard around which the rooms are arranged.The rooms are clean, and the service is park-like but friendly.You have to be careful because they close the main door with a lock and you have to be clear that you have to call a phone number to open it from 8:00 pm.On the other hand, hot water takes a long time to get out.Otherwise, it would definitely come back.

Calm and centered.

The Yinfeng Hotel is located in the northern part of Dali’s old town along a small alley leading off one of the main roads and about a 5 minute walk from the Northern City Gate.
Built in a traditional Chinese style the hotel is not only beautiful from the outside, but also from the inside with tastefully decorated rooms that are really spacious and clean. The WiFi connection was excellent as well and they even have a roof terrace with a nice view over the old town.

The staff was extremely helpful and helped me organize my onwards transportation.

Definitely an excellent value-for-money choice right in Dali’s historic old town.

Beautiful rooms and a great location

Hotel room is quite spacious and looked good (as from photos) but dated. Needs renovation perhaps. There were a number of cars parking in the courtyard. It seems to me this is something like a North American motel. Breakfast (CNY10) is pretty simple  but decent. Hotel service is quite basic. Location is good. Mind you, the name of the hotel in Chinese is very confusing - 銀峰, 銀楓 or 吟楓 (as by Booking.com, which is for sure, incorrect). According to hotel staff, 銀峰or楓 is OK but official name is 銀峰.

Good stay

A pretty hotel tucked away in a small alley in the old quarter. Typically Chinese. Rock hard beds and not very good shower pressure. Breakfast is very cheap with very little choice. No tea or coffee. Reception is friendly but little to no English. We stayed 2 nights and found a cheaper and much better place just outside the wall for the rest of our stay. Think that for $50 a night you can find better options!

Huge Room but Roch Hard Beds

the hotel is located in the old city of Dali.
The stuff is very helpful and nice and they come to take the suitcases.
The rooms are clean and specious, with great view of the city from the breakfast room.
The only problem we has that there was no western breakfast, only local Chinese, but there are boiled eggs and soup with noodles, which we don't know how to eat early morning. 
Other than that, excellent stay with a great team.

Geart location, very specious rooms no Western breakfast

Took bus number 8 from train station and got off at bus terminus near east gate.700m walk is not short with luggage. I underestimated the distance. It's actually lot closer from north gate.

The hotel is Chinese style. I was told by front desk that I paid a low price (280 yuan online) I could only get the room next to the staircase. I could hear everyone walking pass and their heavy footsteps walking up the stairs. And the only window was alongside the common corridor leading to the staircase. 

The room was reasonably clean and bed reasonably comfortable. There is no electric blanket. The air con with heating was ok. But the bathroom had very strong wee smell floating into the bed area too. Receptionists very helpful in general. There is no tourist walking map for guests. They only show you the only one they have. I later found that at local tourist information Center the map is sold for 12 yuans.

The hotel is very close to the 2 main tourists streets and yet tucked inside a small alley.


Ok for one night

We spent 3 nights in this hotel. It is very well located in the old town, two steps from the center but a little further away which allows it to be quiet. No noise at night and in the morning it is really very pleasant. Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The bathroom was very clean with a huge shower. Only the warm water that takes a little time to arrive this depended on days. You have to go to the roof terrace of the hotel to understand better. But this represents a waste of water that is not negligible at the hotel level. Otherwise the staff is really very helpful and attentive. He gave us advice on our daily prices and also arranged our trip to the hotel for a good quality taxi tour.

Very convenient facilities Very well located, on a street perpendicular to the main streets of the old town, although very well insulated from all the noise.

The hotel is located in the centre of the Old Town, a 5-minute walk from the hotel, a cozy park, and the staff's attitude to the guests can be assessed at 5+.
