Gîte Saint-Laurent

Rene and Yolande are amazing. They have opened their beautiful home and welcome guests. Breakfast was freshly baked croissants and bread with a selection of jam, fruit, juice, eggs, cheese and pates. Even a cake for dessert. Located right on the St. Lawrence, it is a beautiful property.

Excellent hosts who welcome you and show you around the entire property and cook up a multi course breakfast which was delicious. They have lots of international guests including France and Australia. I recommend it highly

Very beautiful property backing onto the St. Lawrence River. And quite close to the downtown area.

Very nice room, and breakfast.  The location is scenic, but is also convenient to the city’s attractions.  The hosts were very friendly.

We enjoyed our stay in this nicely decorated older home. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We were served a very delicious 3 course breakfast with speciality coffee along side of the other guests. Our room had a sink but no coffee/tea maker. It was a bit unusual to share a bathroom/shower with other guests. However, it was just for one night. There is a suite that sleeps up to 4 people that has its own bathroom. The swimming pool was nice after a long drive.

It was a very wonderful stay with Yolanda and Rene. The property was amazing and right on the St Lawrence Seaway. We love old houses and this is beautifully decorated to retain its 1930s deco. The breakfast, everything made from scratch including the pressed apple juice, jams, croissant and bread, made us feel pampered in an old fashioned way. We love it and hope more people get to enjoy this little piece of Oasis.

The view out to the backyard leads directly to a lovely pool, garden, and then the amazing St Lawrence River. Beautiful.Quiet, and peaceful location also a short drive to downtown restaurants. Also a filling and delicious breakfast served in a lovely dinning room.

Quaint bed and breakfast

This B&B is a home in a residential section with many nice homes on large lots that abut the St. Lawrence river. The owners (Yolande and Rene) take good care of the place and were quite friendly. The grounds behind include a nice sized pool including a diving board, sitting areas, a swing, a garden and more seating near the river itself. It makes for a pleasant stay to just hang out and enjoy the scenery.

The rooms are well-maintained with more traditional styling. Some of the rooms have twin beds, while others have queen beds. The room was comfortable and had a couple seating areas with views of the river. Keep in mind some of the rooms share a bathroom so if this is a concern for you, check with the establishment directly.

A key feature of this place is the included breakfast. In preparation for the following day, Yolande had baked a cake. Breakfast included three courses served on nice table ware including some silver serving trays. It all looked fancy.

Location-wise, while not really walking distance to the sites in Trois-Rivieres (unless you want to walk for 40-50 minutes), it is at least fairly close and easy to get to the downtown area for the many restaurants and sites there. After 6pm, parking was free in the downtown area.

Exquisitely maintained property close to the St. Lawrence

I have to say that I'm really not a B&B sort of person... just have not had that experience.  The rooms here are cozy in a typical European style, but nothing out of the ordinary.  What makes this place super special are the owners - they are such wonderful people and so hospitable, you will think they are family within a couple of hours.  Don't get me wrong, they stay on the sidelines, but are so attentive to trying to make sure your stay is wonderful.  I imagine this is based on their 27 years of success running this B&B. Oh.... one more highly important thing.  I'm a foodie and I loved their breakfasts.  I'm not really a tuna fish salad lover, but when it is served in a pear with lettuce - I learned it is quite delicious.  Homemade quiche was next, then homemade cake with blueberries - OMG.  They have a Jura latte/expresso machine and are super quick to make sure your cup is always filled.  Another breakfast was a ham and egg omelet ending with homemade cake.  Still another ended with crepes.  Oh my, what breakfasts - the hotel is worth the asking price simply because of the high quality of the breakfasts.  Did I mention that bread is made fresh each day, served with Creton some days, butter and 3 or 4 jams every day.  Basically, you get a breakfast for each person that I estimate would cost $35 or $40 elsewhere - included with the price of the room - unbelievable.

Excellent value and beautiful location

We received royal treatment at Gîte Saint-Laurent! Our hosts Yolande and René were so warm and kind, and their home is lovely and most welcoming. Yolande served a wonderful breakfast that included the best homemade croissants ever! René is a wealth of knowledge on his region. We spent our last evening in beautiful Quebec here and will never forget the fabulous hospitality we received--a perfect end to a memorable trip. Merci beaucoup, beaucoup Yolande and René! Vous êtes des gens merveilleux!

Nice studio apartment with a kitchen. A very beautiful river view, swimming pool, and friendly host family. The deal includes a delicious French breakfast served in a elegant dining room! The town was interest in to tour and had a history of being a premiere paper milling town. I highly recommend that you walk along the river front and view the many historical buildings in town.

Pampered in Treis Rivoire

We were welcomed very friendly by the owners who also gave us good information about Trois-Rivieres. The room was comfortable and had every thing we needed. There was a shared bathroom but as there were no other guest during our stay this was not a problem for us. The house has a fantastic view of the river and a great garden to relax in. Also there is a private parking at the back of the house. The breakfast was very good and tasty. We would like to come back here.

Great place to stay

I would highly recommend anyone who is considering staying at the Gîte Saint-Laurent. 
 We spent one night at the Gîte Saint-Laurent in Trois-Rivières on our way to Québec City.  It was the perfect B&B to stay.

Our hosts were incredible making everything so easy from the welcome to breakfast the next morning.  Our hosts served us one of the most healthiest and yummiest breakfasts.

We spent late morning by their pool near the river enjoying some quiet time before traveling to Québec City.
