Shamrock Motel

Nice motel to stay. Outdated but clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Has a small playground for kids. Has everything you need so close to motel from gas stations to grocery stores & coffee shops. Would recommend to everyone.

Clean & friendly staff

An old school motel. Everything worked and the bed was comfy. The lady at the front desk was very nice. My room had an unexpected lake view and a nice patio
It’s obviously a family business with kids playing around and a playground 
It’s close to a large Foodland store and anything else you might need

Good basic accommodation

We chose his hotel based on price and were not disappointed. The parking is convenient, just outside the detached building our room is in. The beds were very comfortable and the water was hot with great water pressure. The shower wall had cracked soap shelf and we were careful not to rub against it and cut ourselves. The linens smelled fresh and the soap was fragrant too. The internet was finicky getting started, but staff responded immediately and got us connected. Some of the electric receptacles were two—prong style, but I unplugged the a/c and plugged in my power strip to overcome that issue.

I do not recommend.  The tap leaked under the sink, the drain so bad not connected and it ran on the floor. I reported it and they brought a bucket I could put under sink .  I had to empty it constantly .  No offer to move to a different room that was vacant as I already had pulled the sheets up.
My room was not clean.  Cobwebs.  The shower was dirty.  There were bugs in the bathroom near the vanity. The fridge wasn't cleaned after the last guest. I was given 1 small towel only.     There is not much customer service.   Quite dirty outside and inside.  The amenities listed are not supplied. No coffee pot, no pool.  I read fined for no smoke alarms as well.  Caution.

This place is a  joke when we arrived buddy showed us a room that looks like a junky has had a month long bender in smell included we then got showed a “freshly renovated “ room with New beds the room didn’t look bad so against my better judgement stayed the night the shower had absolutely no water pressure it took me an hour to have a shower when you tell aj he just says he will tell the guy who fix’s stuff then I went to go to Bed I noticed my blankets had piss stains on them when I brought this up with aj he assured me it was fine cause they were washed with bleach when I refused to used them he then brought me another blanket it had numerous cigarette bern holes in it witch is funny cause this is a non smoking hotel as I sit here trying trying to figure out what I got my self into I grabbed a warm beer out of the fridge cause apparently my mini fridge crapped out absolutely worst hotel I have ever experienced this is out of a horror money

Worst hotel iv ever experienced

I'd like to know how many females in Midland have a story about the manager at the Shamrock hotel asking them if they would like to make some money. Also telling them if they don't perform sexual favours they will be kicked out ,usually does this in the middle of the night when he know they have no where else to go. THIS NEEDS TO STOP!!!! The police don't seem to care much about it!! So what's it going to take someone getting raped before they decide to take action?🤔😤 he told me I had to leave or he will call the police for no reason but I was in his way . After knocking twice the manager used his key to enter her room. Unfortunately for him she doesn't play that game and cussed him out. To make a long story short the next day she was told all the room were booked and she needed to leave. This is disgusting, I have recording of him admitting he pays young women for sex but I want to post to protect the women's privacy. Please stand up and put a stop to this!!!! Do not stay here and support this hotel.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE A FEMALE!!!!

I was assigned one room, but due to a smell in the bathroom I requested a new room. The desk person was resistant to provide a new room as they said there were no rooms available, but then was able to find another...? This is my review of the new room.

The Good: 
- Comfortable beds
- Free Wi-Fi
- Mini fridge and microwave came in handy
- Had playground for kids and very nicely kept lawn

The Bad:
- SLOW Wi-Fi
- Beds and linens had a horrible smell
- The bathroom smelled of mold or fungus, had to keep door closed the whole time.
- Toilet seat broken from frame upon arrival
- Only had half a roll of toilet paper, had to request more. The second roll came promptly.
- Toilet paper holder broken upon arrival
- Very thin walls, could hear people next door talking, even though they were not talking loud.

The pictures from the website Booking.com are misleading as the motel room is unkempt and outdated. If the owner put half as much effort and work into the maintenance of the rooms, as they did into the beautiful grounds, they would have a motel worth recommending. Until they do, I DO NOT recommend this motel. Avoid at all costs and spend your money elsewhere.

The smell! Oh God the smell!!!!

First room they tried to give me smelled like overwhelming vomit odor. Second room they tried to give me you could hear the occupant cough clear as day through the wall, third room they gave me the mattress was hard as a rock and it was literally a scene out of a 70's crime drama where hookers bring their tricks to the exact kind of room it was. DON'T STAY HERE it's a dump. There are other options literally on the same street that are cleaner, more modern and you can haggle for a better price.

Nightmare Hotel. Old, delapidated, ugly, overpriced.

We could not stay here although had booked ahead. It was dirty and smelt of smoke. I would not recommend this Motel to anyone.We did get a refund thank goodness and managed to find great accommodation.
