Had the pleasure of staying at this roadside hotel after an exhausting ordeal of driving from Fundy Bay in a storm.  We had booked before we left the park and thankfully they were able to accommodate us.  Getting there in torrential downpours was a chore and when we called to check the timing of a late checkin the desk agent was polite and reassuring that she would still be there for our estimated extended time of arrival.  The hotel is clean, the staff was friendly and the bed comfortable.  There is an excellent local restaurant across the street. We did not have the opportunity to enjoy the on-site pool but it appeared clean and equipped with the proper safety equipment.  I imagine this hotel to appeal to those crossing the border but for my daughter and I it was a good midway stop on out way from Fundy Bay to Quebec City.

After a stormy day, a peaceful night

Very accommodating, arrived late with a pet, no reservations. Able to get a room with no issues.  Had everything we needed. Lot's of space to walk the dog. Nice and quiet. Will return again.

Our stay at St. Leonards Diagle's.

Great value for price.  Rooms are large with lots of storage surfaces.
The room was clean and an effort was made to make us comfortable in a  room with a larger bed without request but with a small extra cost (due to most beds being double size and I'm tall).  
No breakfast has been offered since COVID struck.  Their restaurant is now closed.


Good quiet area just off the Trans-Canada Hwy.

Rooms are basic and dated….BUT extremely clean, A/C worked…Front office staff very friendly…lots of people using the pool, so that’s a good thing! I have had knee surgery, and my room was on the 2nd floor, so had to do metal outdoor stairs…So if you have mobility issues, state that when booking!

Over night to split the drive up!

I’ve been stopping here for 30 odd summers ,it’s my halfway mark.I feel very safe when I’m here,the staff are the best , restaurant when not in Covid ,was very good. In the beginning I travelled with my children ,they loved the pool . I’m making my reservation now for this summer . I would recommend this motel,two thumbs up

From Ontario to Cape Breton

I stopped by chance for a room.  I didn't feel very welcome, I was given a key and pointed in the direction of the room. The room had a very must smell and is quite dated.  The bathroom had been renovated and was clean and functional.  Would I stop there again? NO.

Not very welcoming

Driving home from Toronto to Nova Scotia, we stopped here overnight. We had intended to stop at another motel, but the receptionist was seriously annoying us on the phone, where here we were treated very nice. The Motel is pretty basic, but it does have a nice pool and the rooms are big and comfortable. The TV was old, but cable was supplied and the WiFi worked well. I was very happy with this spot, nothing fancy, but a comfortable overnight stop.

A Nice Basic Motel

We were driving from Ottawa to Sydney for the Nfld ferry and wanted a motel far enough into New Brunswick to make the rest of our journey on the following day fairly easy. So Saint-Leonard was perfect for the distance, and the motel is easily found off the highway. The restaurant was okay -- standard meal choices and a limited wine menu. We did not expect gourmet dining, so this too met our limited expectations. But our server was excellent, and found a nice South African Merlot for us. Breakfast was also fine, and again, the serving staff was very good. On the down side, this is an older motel, and its age shows. The bed was a regular double bed, and the mattress was soft. The newest window (at the back of the room) did not fit well -- it could not be latched because the upper sash did not close tightly enough. The room was a good size, more than sufficient for us, but there was no in-room fridge. I'm a diabetic and my insulin needs to be refrigerated. We made do with lots of ice from the ice dispenser near the front desk, which we then dumped into plastic bags and stored in the car overnight (it was a fairly cool night, fortunately). But a fridge, now fairly standard in many motels, would have been welcome.

This is a motel beginning to show its age but the location served our needs.

We only stayed one night at this place... the room was very clean... the site too... as far as the quality of the bed... or he was digging towards the center... much too soft... uncomfortable... as far as the restaurant... just right... no more... a one-night stand!

Stop by for one night on a motorcycle!

Nice and clean basic motel , no fridge or microwave in the room. old small tube television, Nice pool area, nice Comfortable bed, reasonably priced, over all a good stop over on our motorcycles, would stay here again
