The stay was fantastic, stayed with my wife and two dogs.
Went to visit Fort Steele and Lussier hot springs about 30 min away at Whiteswan provincial park and was thrilled at how beautiful it was and free also.
Seen plenty of wildlife, bears, turkeys, elk, deer and the occasional skunk..
Very clean and the new owners are very friendly.
All in all can't wait to go back and will.

Coming again for sure.

We spent Christmas in the wonderful cabin and the lovely hosts Marnie and Barney let us have a Christmas tree!  A little tree and a  box full of ornaments was placed at the entrance as we arrived. This is "Gastfreundschaft" at its highest level.

fantastic Cabin

This place is NOT even WORTHY of 1 star! We booked a room (pet-friendly according to Expedia ) on a Thursday for the Saturday. We then received an email within an hour stating the room is Not pet-friendly from the Motel itself. We called them right away to clarify. The owner who was extremely RUDE and one of those types that like to preach down to customers and tell them how it is told us that the pet- friendly room is not available even though we were successfully able to book it online. She nattered on about their personal protocol as if we should have known above and beyond what their Expedia listing says implying that we were in the wrong. Finally, she agreed to cancel our reservation to give us a refund. After a week I was going through my credit card and I saw we were still charged the room fee in total even though the owner said she would cancel it. We called them and inquired about the room charge,  they were trying to make excuses and put the blame on us how it was our fault that Expedia let us successfully book a pet-friendly room even though they didn't have it available.  Finally, they decided to return the money but still charged us a cancellation fee. Even though they had ample time from Thursday to Saturday to re-book the room and it wasn't our fault in the first place. My question to the owner is - if you don't have pet-friendly rooms available please update your website. Don't scam people for money! The customer service is TERRIBLE nobody is going to argue with you about the wording of your booking site! If it says pet-friendly that's what people are going to think.

Terrible Customer Service!

This motel is NOT worth the $110 a night we paid.  
First of all the owner is so unpleasant.  Within seconds of exiting our car, our dog had jumped out.  Marnie came running, yelling "dogs have to be on leash".  This was as I was grabbing my dog by her collar and attaching a leash.  She repeated it several times, after I'd leashed her.  That was the inital welcome we received.  She then berated me for not saying we were bringing a dog, yet I had, and upon finding our paper work, low and behold it said "DOG".  
We should have left at this point, except we'd already paid for the two nights.
The rooms are extremely dated and dirty.  The bathroom wall around the tub is moldy, stains on the carpet, spider webs everywhere.  
Luckily we were there to spend time with friends at the campsite, so we didn't have to do much in our room.
Also there is one bbq for all the motel visitors, and it really needs cleaned.  
It says there is Wifi, no one could get it, even at the "hot spot"

Her name is Marnie Henne Robert P. Yes she is a piece of work.  Funny as it says there's a pool? Really? not one in site as well the water on the property is not even from a well rather than the creek non filtered or anything.

Last minute booking, reasonable rates for high season.. this place is a hidden gem. You feel right at home and Marney and Barney are awesome hosts!!  Rooms are clean and have everything you will need! I will be back often!
This is a quaint 7 room hotel so it’s understandable why you do not get your money back if you cancel your booking, the information is very clear when you book.
There is much to do nearby or enjoy the peace of this quaint RV park.

Hidden Gem

I never actually stayed at the resort. In February 2019 I booked a room from Oct 11 through Oct 12, 2019 on one of the reservation sites; giving a deposit of $87.00 . About a week after booking the room we had to change our route and cancel the reservation. I called the hotel on Feb 27, 2019 at 1325 hours to inquire why I did not receive my refund. I was told “there are no refunds deal with the reservation site”. I asked her for her name three times, she got nasty on the phone and hung up. Just a word to the wise be careful when booking at this resort; or just find another in the area.

I am unsure of this destination.  Looks like a good idea but it's pretty scary up close.  I expect that the campground is acceptable for many folks.

They have a policy in place where they keep your deposit even if you cancel several days ahead so be aware of that when booking.

We pulled into Spring Brook around 10pm a couple of nights ago, with no reservations, completely exhausted from a long day of travelling. Marnie was very nice and extremely accomodating! We had a full serviced site for our large (40ft) motorhome and we fit perfectly ! In the morning, we explored the grounds and it was absolutely beautiful! We would definitely stay there again !!!

Life Saver !

We were referred to this place by another nearby park in Fairmont Hot Springs that didn't have any availability, and what a lifesaver it turned out to be.  We were traveling on the Canada Day holiday and it was really hard to find a space without a reservation.  The owner/manager, Marnie, was delightful.  Even though the place is nothing fancy, she works hard to keep it up and provides a quality visitor experience.  It is a small park (about 40 sites) with a blend of overnighters, seasonal visitors, people who appear to live there, and some cabins, including a large 2-story lodge to rent.  The sites are mostly gravel but there is a lot of grass and shade trees.  There are no showers, but when you need to take one, Marnie lets you use an unoccupied cabin and they are clean and attractive.  Don't know what they'd do if all the cabins are occupied, though?  We stayed 5 nights and used this place as a a base from which to make day trips to Fairmont Hot Springs (about 30 miles away) and Radium Hot Springs (about 50 miles away).   Other than a small market across the street, the closest major services are to the south in Cranbrook (about 30 miles away) or to the north in Fairmont Hot Springs.  Don't know that this would be a destination, but it sure was a delightful stay-over.
