Very rustic and cute! I love it! I’m here on an overlanding trip so I just needed something simple before my adventure tomorrow and I really appreciated the simplicity of this cabin along with the very affordable price. Now-a-days you can’t stay anywhere for under $120 so I’m grateful to have somewhere clean to sleep for a night (without a minimum 2 night stay) so I don’t have to sleep in my Jeep one extra night longer than necessary 😆. 
One downside is I got the cabin on the end (6) and it’s right next to an old one lane wooden bridge and it’s quite loud. I’m a very light sleeper so we’ll see how this goes. Either way, I still love it here and the town is very clean, quaint and beautiful. They do a good job of caring for their town and it was really nice to see. Go for a walk around and see for yourself.

Excellent value for the price! Clean and cozy rooms, friendly and helpful owners/ staff. very central location with a beautiful swimming hole behind cabins. Nice park and playground/ water park beside. Third time staying here and will definitely be returning! Thanks Gord!

Small, rustic cabins with the added benefit of indoor toilet and shower. Great for avoiding the crowds. They are older cabins updated with basic motel amenities. Not the Ritz-Carlton, but clean and definitely worth the price ($85 for a family of 4). 

Adorable 1934-vintage cabins!  A little snug (next time we will splurge on the larger cabin), but absolutely wonderful!  Right next to river and walking path.  We could also walk pretty much the whole town.  Cozy warm with the weird old heater/range top thingee.  Reasonably priced, unique.  Internet was spotty, though.  Other than that, loved it there!

I recommend this place place. The people who own and run the cabins are very nice, welcoming folks. The cabins are very clean and very cozy. The next time I head back to Princeton, I will stay here. The bed was so comfy.

Cute little cabins from the mid 1900s that have been updated. 
A bit snug even in the bigger cabins. But they are clean and comfy. If you are expecting luxury.... this isn’t it! Reasonably priced and owners are very friendly !

Great cabin for the price.
They have everything you need at a reasonable price.
The only negative thing I can say is the bathrooms are really small and a bit awkward. 
Wise to bring your own pillows. 
For $60-$70 a night you really can't complain.

Decided to take a cruiser motorcycle trip to a place I stayed at almost 60 yrs ago..(by car in those days)....I was pleasantly surprised that it was still there..!!..( on trip advisor I might add)....The place is very well priced ($60 a night) and very well run by an extremely pleasant and kind individual. It is updated to gas heat ( from a wood stove back then) and has all the modern amenities but still can be considered. "rustic")  located right along the river but dyked now ..but is a walk trail..close to the old thru truss wooden bridge
It is an easy walk to a supermarket.,,liquor store,.(3minutes)..and 5 to 10 minutes to many restaurants etc.  Definitely recommend it for a pleasant experience especially in the fall when the poplars are golden and yellow all g the river

Rustic Charm

Great place!

These cabins were built in the depression era, so are quite rustic log cabins, although they have been somewhat modernized since that time. A little off the highway, but not hard to find.

The price was very reasonable. I booked a double bed cabin for me and my 3 children (teenagers).

First the positive. The beds were clean, the cabin had a full-size modern fridge in it, a full-size gas stove (clean), and a relatively new microwave. There were not adequate dishes for four people, but that was fine, we had our own with us.

Now the negative. Although these cabins have been renovated, there are so many nooks and crannies and cracks, that bugs will find an easy home in this place. My youngest daughter is very freaked out by spiders, and there was a relatively small dust spider (the kind found in dirt basements, with the whispy legs) which I had to kill. This made her a bit nervous. There was quite a bit of dust and cobwebs throughout the suite.

Then about an hour later, my older daughter moved a suitcase, and a wolf spider ran across the floor (wolf spiders are about 3" in diameter). This utterly freaked her out. I killed that one, but the girls were disturbed.

After about half an hour, I saw another wolf spider (even bigger) run out onto the floor. I told them not to look, and killed that one also, but the damage had been done. They did not sleep well, and could not wait to get out of this place.

Later in the evening as I was working in the kitchen, I noticed one of the cupboard doors under the sink was open a bit. I checked it out, and it was apparently normally screwed shut, but had come loose. It opened to a hole in the floor that led directly into the crawl space basement, with lots of cobwebs. Here was an active source of bugs and spiders that should have been sealed off from the main suite.

We also noticed that the kitchen table was "sticky". It seems that it was originally varnished, and someone tried to put a coating of oil over top, but the oil would not soak in, so it made a sticky coating on the entire table.

The bathroom had two taps on the sink, one on each side. So it is not possible to get warm water by mixing the two, you have to go back and forth between them!

Most of the power outlets are up high, near the ceiling, so if you are charging phones or other devices, you might need to bring an extension cord.

The beds were squeaky. I assume they are on springs of some kind, but they squeak when you move in the bed.

The wifi only worked in the front of the cabin. The back bed could not get wifi access. This was cabin #8, not sure about the others.

So all in all, these cabins are rustic, and you have to be ready for the consequences of that. If you are fine with that, then these are a good bargain.

Rustic, inexpensive, but some drawbacks

These cabins are located next to a river. Although they dont have a view, the rushing river is a nice sound to fall asleep to. It is however, also next to the main street so cars are heard easily. The cabins were priced great, with different sizes. However, we stayed in May when it was quite hot inside, and we were only able to open one window. There is no oven, just one stove top burner. The beds are awful, felt like we were being bent in the middle. Although the cabins seemed quite clean, pulling back the covers showed a significant amount of hair all over the pillows - which I was really hoping to just be cat hair as there were a few cats wandering around.
