Best b&b that i have stayed at in a long time

Really nice stay in St. George. The hosts are kind, friendly, and accommodating, and breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend!

I actually stayed here a couple of years back and have been procrastinating on writing a review of this place. It was wonderful! The place was cozy, clean and immaculate. The hosts (married couple) were very kind and welcoming! I would definitely stay here again!!

Very friendly people ! Make my stay very home like !

Joyce and Ted were very accommodating hosts making room for my walker. And the breakfast was delicious each morning. This was the first time Angela and myself had been at a B&B it was like going to a family member’s but better ;-) we definitely would go back.

I honestly can't say anything bad about my stay here! It was clean, comfortable and the breakfast was phenomenal with 2 of the nicest people I had the joy of getting to know a little. I would recommend 10/10 hands down. Would stay again

We were delighted to find this B&B in a quiet neighbourhood in PG.  The host couple is friendly, the rooms are cosy, and breakfasts are amazing. We were able to leave our car safely while we travelled north for 3 weeks, returning to a warm welcome. Shared bathroom is immaculate, and the guest dining area is well-appointed and easy access. The owners have two small dogs. We spent a pleasant couple of hours on the back patio enjoying the last of our groceries, and would happily stay here again.

Quiet, cozy B&B in Prince George

Wonderful hosts, lovely comfortable place to sleep, quiet, peaceful and close to everything. Mornings were like Christmas, wondering what delectable goodies awaited us - muffins, cinnamon buns, eggs benedict perfectly prepared,  home made waffles, we felt incredibly spoiled. Our hosts were charming and entertaining, we really didn't want to leave.  We hope to stay here every time we visit our kids in Prince George.  We had the place to ourselves, but it would be fun to have other guests there at the same time, meeting new people is always interesting. Everything was clean and when we came back every day it was as though we were just arriving for the first time,  everything was spotless.  Can't say enough good about this wonderful experience!!

Best place to stay in Prince George !!

Came to PG for a 2 day business trip. Joyce and Ted went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. Ted and I enjoyed watching a hockey game and talking travel and politics. Joyce ensured I had a steady supply of tea and cookies. The breakfast was amazing. Room comfortable and clean. Hosts even let me stay a good part of the afternoon on my last day instead of waiting in an airport terminal.

Great place!

We stayed here as a family (myself, husband, 18-year-old son, 21-year-old daughter) and booked both beautiful rooms at the Grateful Bed B&B. We were Ted and Joyce's first booking after Covid-19 allowed for domestic travel in B.C. We're normally a family that loves to fly to exotic destinations, but decided 2020 was the year to get to know and appreciate our own backyard. From Vancouver, we had never travelled to Prince George, but this year incorporated it as one destination on our "get-to-know part of B.C." vacation. As I planned the holiday, I tried to find unique accommodations that would suit my family's wish list: welcoming, interesting, personal, spotless, and, well, maybe Canadian. The Grateful Bed definitely fit all these criteria. The two rooms and bathroom and private kitchen area are bright, welcoming, had a great decor, and are spotlessly clean. When we arrived, there was cake and a beautiful chilled pitcher of iced tea - most welcome on a very hot day. The breakfasts on both days were certainly the best I'd ever experienced in a B&B anywhere. My daughter is vegetarian and had so many options to choose from. Beautiful berries were part of each day's breakfast in the fruit salad. One day a vegetarian frittata, another pancakes. There were sausages, hash browns, Irish soda bread (everything homemade), jams and jellies... muffins... sure I'm forgetting something. And in case you were somehow hungry later, there were snacks in the fridge! The property has an impeccably-kept garden that was in full, radiant bloom for our visit at the end of July. Joyce and Ted are amazing hosts and were there to answer any question or concern we had. We loved Prince George, too. A fantastic community with tons to do - we checked out the rail and forest museum and the Ancient Forest one day, another day we visited beautiful Fort St. James. Prince George itself has so many parks! We found the locals super friendly and will definitely return. If Prince George is part of your next travel plan, I highly recommend the Grateful Bed B&B and its hosts, Ted and Joyce. I'm sure, as we found, it will be your "home away from home."

Home away from home!

Joyce and Ted are such wonderful, charismatic hosts! They are so easy to be around, and Ted is so well connected he even helped connect me to clientele for my job in the area! Joyce cooks a mean breakfast platter, you won’t be hungry again until dinner! The space offers privacy with a sliding door between living quarters and their home, private bathroom and is as clean as they come. Quiet, peaceful place to get some rest. Pillow top bed was dreamy. Felt like home! (But better because of the breakfast). I will be back!

This B&B is a gem. The welcome from Ted and Joyce is very warm, they are perfect hosts. After checking in we enjoyed a beer with Ted on the deck, swapping stories of the UK and Canadian music and sports scenes. It felt like staying in someone's home rather than a B&B. 
Whilst we went out for a walk Ted washed our filthy hire car without us asking. It was sparkling when we came back, in fact the whole place sparkles, it is spotlessly clean. 
Breakfast next morning was to die for and set us up for the long drive to Prince Rupert. 
We cannot speak highly enough of this B&B, truly excellent

a suburban gem

Had a restful time at the Grateful BnB. Had such a great nights sleep that we woke up a couple hours earlier than expected. Everything felt very clean and crisp which we really appreciated. Breakfast was delicious and hearty which was a nice surprise as we were only expecting a continental meal it made for great value overall. Joyce and Ted were friendly and laid back people. As far as BnB’s go I don’t think these guys can be beat with their exceptional hospitality.

Delightful Experience!

On an off road motorcycle trip from Vancouver to Anchorage, we had the chance to stop one night in the home of Joyce and Ted. Fans of 70's rock and Irish humor and spirit, you will be delighted. Joyce wil make you feel at ease with a glass of wine and her favorite game of guessing your age. If you think you look young, Joyce will leave you no hope. The breakfast filled us for an entire 500km of trails to Smithers: great home cooking. A great souvenir on our trip

Warm and friendly

We enjoyed our one night stay here- the hosts Joyce and Ted are very gracious. The breakfast was the best we received in BC. This place is perfect for a family because the two bedroom suite is self contained.  No one else was there when we arrived, so we did not have to share the bathroom.  Prince George has a lot to offer - Ted directed us to a great trail called Ancient Forest on our way out.  So we regret not staying two nights.

Hospitality Plus

Ted and Joyce were perfect hosts. Private area off of their main living area that had two bedrooms and a bath. We stayed in the room with a queen bed. So easy to come and go and the breakfasts that Joyce prepared set us up for the day...only a light lunch needed before dinner. Loved talking with Ted and Joyce and they allowed us privacy also. Would definitely come back here on any future visit to Prince George!
